Insanity Workouts

I do the Insanity workouts and am trying to figure out how to determine calories burned? I am thinking of using the iFitness App to determine calories burned and then just manually enter it on MFP. I am new to this app and any advice on figuring caloric burn for any and all exercises is appreciated.
Thanks

Snag a Polar HRM off of Amazon, I got the FT7 and really like it so far.0

I am just starting the Insanity workouts and was hoping for advice on the same topic. Not sure how to figure calories burned with this program. Any help is greatly appreciated!0

In the first round, I burned about 300-350 per workout. It averages to about 100 calories for every 10 minutes (a little less than that). Unfortunatly, the only real way of knowing is to get a good heart rate moniter. The Polar brand is a favorite and works really well.0

I'm on my second round of Insanity and I use Mio Classic Select Heart Rate Monitor Watch bought it on amazon in the $30s. I didn't want to spend to much on one and I like it, it does it's job. I manually log it in on MFP. These are my average calories burned for the first month. Keep in mind everyone is different. Hope it helps...

So, I went out and bought a Mio HRM after reading so many blogs about it (thank you). I got it set up and wanted to test it out to see how many calories I would burn doing the 30min Turbo Fire. Well, I was really disappointed. It only said I burnt 50 calories. Did I do something wrong? I'm new to this device and I know it was only 30min. But when I checked during the workout, my HR was at 174/91%. Any suggestions?0

I have done the TF 20min workout and I burn around 175 cals. How many times did you check your HR? I check it a lot, and tend to wear the watch tight so it can read my HR better.0 -
I checked it twice. I will try tightening the wrist band. Hopefully that will work.0
