I've been exercising and although i feel my muscles working and I sweat and feel extremly beat up I wake up with no muscle soreness the next day is this okay?....Am I not doing things right?.... I want whatever im doing to be effective, and I'm worried that all my "hard" work is becoming worthless. Should I feel muscle soreness to ensure that my workouts are working?
Please help.

I can't see your food diary, but if you're eating properly there's no reason to be sore the next day. Especially after your body gets used to it. With proper stretching, food and maybe an ice pack, I'm rarely sore

Soreness and effectiveness are not necessarily related. I wouldn't worry about it.

Now that being said, I can't comment on the effectiveness of your workout -- I'm just saying that soreness is not something you should use as an indicator.

That does depend on a lot of things-how much your eating&burning, stretching, etc.I'd reccommend making your diary public there are some very helpful advice people here.Sounds like your doing a great job!

What sort of workouts are you doing? You're not necessarily always going to be sore, especially if you're doing just cardio.

If you're running (or doing some other kind of cardio), always stretch afterwards! I get sore the next day if I don't, even if it's a low-intensity workout on the elliptical. If I do stretch, my muscles feel great. It helps to get rid of the lactic acid that builds up.

As far as strength training goes, I don't have much advice there. I go rock climbing and I always feel sore the next day...
