I feel like i'm going to sound really dumb, but, do you weigh heavier after a meal, i've been down two pounds all week and suddenly after dinner tonight the scales is saying i'm up two pounds, i'm not gone mad am I?

Yes, your weight can fluctuate a few pounds in a single day depending on the time of day you weigh, if you are retaining water, had a big meal, have swollen joints after a strenuous work-out - many reasons! It's always best to weigh yourself the same time of day, preferably in the morning before you've had breakfast. I always weight 1-3 pounds more at night than in the morning.0
