My calorie is supposed to be 1200, but I never hit it. I just seem to hover around 800 and I am eating healthy.

My goal is between 148-158, think that is good for my height 5'4".5, body type & age.

Most numbers I do for this height with an activity of 1.5 or Moderate activity fall within the 1600-1800 range.
This offers maximum lean mass retention, something that is pretty low in shorter people, with maximum fat metabolism.

So you'd suggest for someone who works out 7x a week, burning 400-500 calories....should be taking in at least 1600 a day? I don't know if I should lower from 1500 or stay there, I haven't really had any consistent weight loss at this calorie setting.

i'm just under 5'4 and I'm around 130-135 currently...would like to get under 130 but we'll see. I have a really muscular body and a "large frame" according to doctors. I eat around 1400-1450 right now.

I ate between 600-800 calories a day for 5 years and maintained my weight until I suddenly gained 10 pounds when my metabolism gave up. Just word to the wise.

I'm 5'5"...goal weight is 140-ish. Not really sure but will re-evaluate as I get close. Calorie intake is set for 1690...I usually get around 1500 or so including eating my exercise calories.

I'm 5'3' and my goal weight is 125. My current calorie intake is right around 1200 but will probably up it when I get closer to my goal weight.

5'4" and spare change, goal is around 120-22 but not by any means married to that, it might be too low. i'm clueless as to where my body should "really" be, since i've always been chunky. i'd be happy to be the weight i am right now if my body comp was better, so waaaaaaaay down the road i'm actually hoping to weigh about 125-128 with muscle replacing the fat. :D i eat around 1300-1400, bumped up from 1200.

My goalweight is somewhere between 135- 145. I want a weight that I dont have to stress to maintain.

My intake is 1200 on restdays, 1600 on the days I excercise.

I'm 5'4.5" and my goal weight is 140(just three pounds away!). I've been thinking of moving my goal down to 135, but as these last few pounds are fighting me so hard I'll just see what comes off. I currently eat around 1400 calories a day. I sometimes go over, sometimes under, some days I'm probably close to 1200. I don't track every day as tracking every day makes me kind of insane.

I'm in a size 8 pants, size 8 dress, and can even fit into a small shirts and the occasional small pair of pants. I'm hoping that helps people looking for size information to go with weight.

I'm 5'3. My goal is below 140 - that would give me a "normal" BMI. MFP has my calories at 1200 which would give me a 1.2 per week weight loss. I find it very difficult sometimes to stay at that range.

    5"4.5"

Goal weight 135, been there before at who knows how many calories, but under fifty full carbs (not net)

Now, goal weight 135, 1400-1600 NET calories, after workouts. With under 30 full carbs a day, but 158grams protein. It's working quicker.

    Dropping weight like mad.

Wow - I kind of feel like a schmuck now. I was in to see my doctor Friday and told him I need a goal weight both for my TOPS membership and now this and we set a goal weight of 175# for now. I've been as high as 290 (years ago) and worked my way down to about 247 (so over the course of about 10 years!) at the beginning of this year. When I started mfp 2 weeks ago I weighed 237. I wanted a goal that would be attainable by my 60th birthday in September and with BMI and diabetes etc. to consider my doctor and I both thought 175 would be a good goal for now. However, when I approach that, I will consider lowering it but I'm 60 years old and I don't want to be 120# but by reaching 175 or even 150, I will be relieved of my medications and be healthy and that's so what I want!! I marvel at everything I read on this board and am so glad I found this site. I'm trying to stay within 1200 calories a day but still have a problem with "junk food"; however the BIG difference is everything I put in the mouth goes on the food chart!! It's so easy there just is no excuse!
