Please help :-(

So for the last two weeks I have been busting my *kitten* to get back into the swingof regular workouts. I have been doing pilates swimming, step sprints, hill sprints and weights.... And weighing myself tonight I was excited to find out how much I had lost... i have also been eating WAY better... But I have GAINED 1.5 kg!!! I don't get it. It kinda feels like why bother if it's only making me heavier?? Feeling so guttered atm but don't want to let it beat me :-(

  • Never weigh at night. My weight can vary as much as 5 pounds between night and morning! Weigh in the morning before you eat or drink anything.

    You may be gaining muscle, but I can't be for sure because I don't think I can see your food journal. I have been very successful at jumpstarting my weight loss (19lbs toward my 25lb goal- :smile: ) with limiting my carbs to 30 net carbs a day. That's carbs minus fiber= at the end of the day 30 carbs. I am begining to research maintenance- and that means adding more carbs back into my diet. But honestly- going on a low carb diet has changed my "need" for the carbs. I used to HAVE to have them and I find that they were making me sluggish and likely contributing to my weight.

    I am no expert- but have consulted with some. There will be people on here who will have their own advice- this is just my experience. I hope it helps you.:flowerforyou:

    Ok cool, thanks for the tip! I usually weigh myself every second Sunday first thing in the morning, but I forgot to on Sunday so did it tonight. Such a bummer!

    Thank you :-) It is way more encouraging to hve others to talk to and hear feedback from. I love this site! So many amzing people on here too.
  • Try not to get too disheartened you should be proud of yourself for working so hard. Make sure that you are taking measurements as well as monitoring weight. If you are doing that much fitness work then you are probably changing shape and building muscle as you loose fat which will weigh the same but take up less room in your body.

    Two weeks is not long in terms of diet so try to be patient and stick to your plan and I am sure you will see great improvement over the next couple of months.
