i know there probably already is a post on this, but i'm not going through alllll of them to find it :p
so i have pretty bad stretch marks because i put on weight in a short amount of time. i know they will never disappear, but will they stop being red and angry looking and go white? has anybody else got rid of their red stretch marks after losing weight?

thanks! x

As we all know, stretch marks are a form of scars....from the skin stretching backwards and forwards quickly.

The main cause is gaining excessive weight but also general growth as most of us experience through our teenage years.

I have hundreds of stretch marks and have never been any bigger than a UK size 12 so i put mine down to growth.

The doctor advised me to keep the skin moist. I also had very red/purple stretch marks but now they are all white... I have loads on the inner thigh, and when i look down they still look red but i think its more the fact that they are shaded because as soon as i stretch the skin they look white.

I wouldn't worry to much about them to be honest......they will fade with time!! x

My new marks are read but over time they fade to white (((at least in my case))) I don't think there is a way to get rid of the unfortunately :brokenheart: however look at them as reminders of how much you have lost

Thanks everyone :D I'll be happy for them just to go white because then I think a bit of fake tan could cover them up a bit but right now they're so ugly! x

100% pure cocoa butter every morning and night. Make sure it's the real stuff.
