Lent Weekly Calories Burned Challenge

So it's every good Catholics favorite time of year, LENT!

Part of my Lenten goal is to burn 3,500 exercise calories a week, and I thought that others might have the same goal or want to make that one of their goals. I've copied the format of similar challenges since they seem to have a pretty slick system down.

Each day post the calories you burned, current total and how many you have to go.

Here is the daily update format.

Weekly Goal:
Mon: calories burned (how they were burned)
Tues: calories burned (how they were burned)
Wed: calories burned (how they were burned)
Thur:calories burned (how they were burned)
Fri: calories burned (how they were burned)
Sat:calories burned (how they were burned)
Sun:calories burned (how they were burned)

Total:
Left to go:

  • Okay, here's what I have so far:

    Weekly Goal: 3500
    Mon: 514 - Running and Walking
    Tues: 549 - Walking
    Wed: 574 - Running and Walking
    Thur: 579 - Running and Walking

    With a total of 2216 so far it looks like I'm on track to hit my goal!
  • Ended up shy of my goal but it's a new week!

    Weekly Goal: 3500
    Mon: 514 - Running and Walking
    Tues: 549 - Walking
    Wed: 574 - Running and Walking
    Thur: 579 - Running and Walking
    Fri: 373 - Walking
    Sat: 307 - Walking
    Sun: 0

    Total: 2896

    Looks as thought I am not going to get near the goal of 3500cal. I thought I was burning 400-700 cal a workout before I got my HRM. Now I know I am no where close to that. My bike and MFP way over estimate my calorie burn. =( I am on medication to prevent headaches and it lowers my HR making it very hard for me to get in to my target zone.

    154cal (JM 30day shred level 2)
