IT'S MY BIRTHDAY AND I WANT TO EAT SOMETHING FUN

Today is my birthday and I want to eat something that I really, really, enjoy. I usually like sweets on my birthday but I have a coupon from one of my favorite fun places for some fried pickles. Now I don't eat a lot of fried foods but I feel that since I have been on track as far as eating is concerned, should I indulge myself. I decided yesterday at dinner with friends not to have cake and ice cream.

Meh...go ahead!! It's your birthday! Just don;t over do it I LOVE FRIED PICKLES!!0

I have started planning for this stuff. I was going out with my girls for the first time in MONTHS a few weeks ago, so I did a few extra work outs and adjusted my eating that weekend to prepare.
Also, I've found I just can't eat as much junk as I used to.
I say indulge (and maybe throw in a few extra minutes of cardio in tomorrow).0 -
Eat something fun then!0

Happy birthday! Fried pickles sounds like a great birthday treat! My birthday is this Friday and I'm still trying to decide where I want to eat out that night. :drinker:0

Then do it! After all it IS your birthday. Track it and move on. One day is not gonna kill you. If you deprive yourself, you will fail. Sometimes, you just have to DO IT! I would but that's me. lol
Oh and happy birthday. Hope you have a super duper day. :P0 -
Happy Birthday!!!
I agree with everyone else... go for it!! it is just one meal one day of the year.0 -
I have splurged on occasion and made the best effort I could to get it to fit into my calories and other counts. Some times Im a little over many times I have been below.. So its your birthday, if you want fried pickels.. go for it..0

Happy Birthday!!!! You bet you should indulge on your birthday! Just be careful, if your body is used to healthy foods now it might rebel against fried food. That happened to me recently. Have a great time!!!!0

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! you only have one birthday a year, have your pickles and if you want it, get a bowl of ice cream or a slice of your own birthday cake. A year ago I was just like you, really afraid to indulge or go over my calories, but I've learned that this is no race, you have forever to lose this weight and trust me, you dont want your memories to be tinted by your worry over your in take.
Today, do what you want, it's a special day. Tomorrow, work out a little harder and push yourself a bit. This week, eat healthy, train hard, and I doubt you'll even see a difference in your weight.0 -
Happy B Day!
Mine is tomorrow!
YAY!0 -
Happy Birthday, and eat something Fun! You deserve it!0

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! And YES have your fried pickles!!0

I think it depends on how long you have been on your diet and how you expect your cheat meal to affect you. If you just started or if cheating might throw u off track a better gift to yourself might be staying within you calories. However, if you can enjoy some fried pickles and not sabotage your weight loss go for it!0

The trick is not to indulge on Everybody Else's birthdays!! Reward yourself, especially if you've been on track with everything else! Happy Birthday!0

Happy Birthday!! :flowerforyou:
I have a cheat day once a week. I don't over do it by any means, but I eat at least one thing that I wouldn't eat normally. This helps me stay on track the rest of the week. I also work out really hard 4 days a week and do yoga 1 day. I lose about a 1.5 - 2 pounds a week.
I plan this Saturday (which is cheat day) to go balls to the walls on my cheating, because it is my birthday. It only comes once a year. I would never think of doing it all the times and I don't use other holidays as an excuse to go crazy.
So indulge a bit!0 -
Well....have you tried pop cake you use a can of diet soda & a box of cake mix....and that is it!!

Happy Birthday!!! Chocolate covered strawberries! Dark chocolate is healthier... sponge cake with fresh berries and homemade whipped cream without the sugar... Oh, and BTW, one day of eating won't set you back if you're exercising. I ate 2 servings of the manager's special at Spaghetti Factory and I still lost weight! If it shows up on the scale your gut is holding on to it. you have to exercise to get it moving out of your system!0

wow! I never heard of that! I'm gonna try it! I guess you would just log in the calories of the dry mix since diet has no calories!!! Thanks!0
