No change this week! but I guess that's better than gaining again so I'll take it. Going to kick myself into high gear this week and get back on track. I've decided that this C25K thing is never going to work out if I don't actually sign up for a 5 K that i need to work towards so I've decided to run the Homecoming 5K at my university in October! :bigsmile: yay!! Now if i could just convince myself that week 4 isn't that scary and to get past week 3!
Having a few money issues lately so kind of stressed. supposed to be doing a paid internship this summer but due to the arrangement that was made, I have to submit invoices to accounts payable for my pay and they've been giving me the run around for quite a while now so its been 7 weeks and I haven't been paid. :grumble: I know I shouldn't complain because there are people in this world that have gone much longer without pay but it's just frustrating that just one silly little administrative process can hold something up like this. But hopefully getting the check in the next couple days (was supposed to be mailed out by Friday) so we shall see!

Hi Sixers! It's so good to be back with the program. I have missed you all!!
I'm up to 165. It sucks but it's better than 167 where I was earlier this week. I've gained back a ton of weight, but considering all the crap and comfort food I've eaten in the past week and a half, it's no surprise. (I was traveling to and from Atlanta a couple times for a family medical situation that turned into a funeral for my estranged husband's grandfather.)
I have started logging foods again as of today. I'm ready to lose the weight. For visitation, I put on a pair of my black work slacks. They barely zipped, and I mean BARELY. :noway: Can't get a new job if I have no work clothes! Gotta lose the weight!!

Congratulations everyone! It takes lots of guts to get on that scale and realize how we are progressing. I think we all do a great job being honest and working toward our final goals. I dropped two pounds this time and I'm excited. I've decided to stay with my eyes on my fitness goals, not necessarily my pound removal goals for the last 3 weeks. I believe if I work my hardest I will be proud of where I end up. :flowerforyou:

Just stopped by to say hello to all of you!! I am doing well! I finished my big test and have been enjoying summer (all 4 weeks of it! lol)
I started P90x and I have been working out everyday... I'm feeling fit and staying strong! Hope all is well for you ladies! I miss my sixers! I'll be gone next week on a cruise to Belize, Honduras, mexico, and somewhere else... and I'm gonna wear a bikini! lol.

Granted I didn't log over the weekend and had a few special treats but not nearly enough to gain this weight. I even ran 11 mile on Sunday (which is my normal long run day) after running a 5K race on Saturday. So its surely not for lack of exercise. I'm back to logging again and sure hope to see a big drop in the next couple days....I'll keep at it but I do seem to swing back and forth a lot!

I made it to the gym today for the first time in about two weeks. Burned 566 calories in a little over an hour. Cardio was Tough today, and yes - Tough with a Capital T. Made it through, did some weights, stretched. Feels good to have done it.
Friends hopefully coming by later so we can hit the pool. Yay pool!!!!
I'm doing better with eating within my means. It's snack time now, and then I have to log what I've eaten so far today.

Hello all! I used the scale at the beach house and I am not sure how accurate it is. DH thinks it might be off by 2 pounds so 5 pounds instead of 7. I can live with it. I didnt check in last week at all with the weight so this is over 2 weeks. Maybe, finally, my body is letting go of this extra weight. We shall see how it holds up!
Seems like everyone is having great results!

Good luck on your 5K. Be sure to let us know how you did! I normally don't do too many races and if I do they are usually longer ones (I'm a long slow runner, not fast...) but I did enjoy the 5K and really testing out my speed. Have fun with it. I'm a long way away from my PRs in the old days but the fact that we are still at it is positive!0 -

Boy does time fly! It seems like it was just the other day that I was posting on week one. And here it is, week 3 already. I'm finding it hard to get back into the swing of things, although the weight is coming off. Only 7 weeks until the cruise. Shoot, I remember when I had 20 weeks, and figured I'd lose 20 lbs. Ummmm.... yeah.... lol I've lost the 20 lbs, but it's been the same 5 over and over....0 -

As for me, I AM GOING THROUGH CRAZINESS. My ex-boyfriend decided to open a phone bill of mine to find out I have been talking to another guy. DID ANYONE ELSE NOTICE THE EX- in front of his name. We broke up because he has huge financial issues and I don't think I could stomach it my WHOLE LIFE and we were together 2 yrs and I'm not sure he is the one for me. Now he is 37 and I'm 28 and I know he feels like his world is tumbling but I think I deserve to be happy too. He is a good guy, morally a wonderful guy and he loves me but I don't think that's the only thing you need to be happy. BLAH BLAH BLAH. My heart aches bc I'm sooooo nice and I try my best never to hurt people but sometimes it can't be avoided. I hate that I'm walking away from this being the BAD GUY or worse I may recant and live UNHAPPILY ever after (I doubt it but my soft heart tells me it would make him happy). Just wanted to give you a day in the life of my world. SIGH... I'm off to walk Dylan and then relax. Thanks for listening!!!

It must be a busy day for everyone. In the time I've been here, I've never seen a day where there were no posts at all.
I had almost stopped exercising since I don't have an exercise bike yet. I started noticing I wasn't feeling as good, had less energy, and wasn't losing as much, so I decided to try 10 min on the treadmill. However, I noticed a couple nights ago that walking as fast as I used to isn't good for me right now. (Duh!! Should have noticed that earlier! :laugh: ) I finally decided not to worry about speed or cals lost on the treadmill. I am going to concentrate on distance instead. My daily treadmill goal right now is 1/2 a mile. It's not much, but even that short distance is really helping me feel more motivated. And I've noticed a small increase in my energy level already.

I didn't make it to the gym again. I caught some bug. Feels like the flu. No energy for exercising. Just resting. Scottish festival in the mountains this weekend. I'm excited... in a tired way. lol
Weight is maintaining around 164 or so. That is better than the 167 I saw last week. Hopefully I'll get in a lot of walking and dancing at the Scottish festival.

Doing pretty well here. The last few days have KILLED me with TOM cravings but we just hop right back on track, right?? The up side is that at least I'm logging at least 25km a week of running so I can hope to maintain or at least curb big gains in times like these. And when will I learn to stay off the scale around this TOM?! Some months I don't see any change on the scale and some months I'm absolutely heavy for a few days. This is the latter :ohwell: But there it is!

Hi All,
Still doing well on week three. I was fluctuating a bit last week and it eventually started going back down again. I was eating grain products at every meal so I dropped one grain product and replaced it with more fruits and veggies. I think the other issue I was drinking water but nothing else so all of my calories were coming from food and nothing liquid like milk or juice. I added some v8 fusion to my food and more milk and I think that has helped.
My brother-in-law had a stroke yesterday so it was a pretty busy and dramatic day. He is doing okay and is in ICU. He had paralysis of the right side but he was aleady starting to move that side during the time we were at the hospital so that is a good sign. I am not really close to him but when things happen with my husband's family I usually do chauffer duty and gofer duty but I don't mind... anything if it will help them since they are pretty distraught.
Well that is about all for this post, I will post again in a couple of day.
