The reason I ask is that I felt like a jerk today. I was visiting my mom and she made a smoothie for the fam, with one vanilla yogurt cup, some strawberries, ice, and a jamba juice smoothie mix. I'm aiming for 30 grams or under a day of sugar, and the smoothie would have put me over that all by itself.
My mom said, "but it's healthy! it's natural sugar!" as I entered the ingredients into my phone app and begrudgingly accepted it with a strawberry.
Am I becoming a fanatic, and should I have refused the smoothie to stay under my goal?

I'm sure it can be done. Sugar is so hard to stay under; even when you eat natural fruits and veggies you are eating sugars. I really don't worry about it unless it's stuff I know I can help. But I eat lots of fruit and veggies.0
