Yes all the time. Apparently if you dream about a house is signifies You, and if you dream of teeth or anything coming out of your body it signifies pregnancy. I dream about both of these things regularly...it terrifes the shiznit out of me :laugh:0

Yes. I have one recurring nightmare, ever since I was a child. I have it waking from time to time, as well.
And then I get a multitude of other nightmares pretty regularly. Like at least once a week. Most of mine are some kind of hiding from danger. And I wake up and can't breathe because for a few moments, I still think I'm trying to hide from danger and breathing would make too much noise.
The ones where I wake myself up screaming are no fun...0 -
I had a nightmare not long ago that I got shot in the neck with a rifle. I was also dying in the dream. What could that mean I wonder.....0

I still have night terrors... somethign you are supposed to grow out of, but (lucky me) I grew INTO them...
And I also have a re-occuring bad dream (having night terrors makes you re-evaluate how you define your dreams ) where I lose a bunch of teeth... apparently it signifies a fear of aging... which is funny cause I've been having it since i was about 12.....0 -
I hate nightmares and get them regularly. Sometimes they are family-things, which are awful, sometimes they are memory-type things, which are worse, and sometimes they are scary-movie induced, which is just embarrassing.0

I do. Work related stuff. I have the same dream about getting shot. I can actually feel the wound. Its freaky.0

I dream a lot. Sometimes nightmares, but they're so weird I hesitate to type them out for fear of being that creep on the forums...0

Last night I dreamt I was being pleasured by a guy in a dog costume.
I should be horrified....0 -

how do you grow out of nightmares?0

As long as your brain is sending signals you will always have dreams and nightmares. You may not always remember thyem and as adults we seldom do.0

I chronically dream i am in high-stress / high-anxiety situations. I blame years of video games and watching "24".0

I've spent more nights fighting more zombies than I care to think about. Since my early teens.0

I used to have a recurring dream in which I lost my car. I search endlessly for it in a parking lot, but can never find it. I've had it on and off for probably 15 years. So often, in fact, that I can usually realize I'm dreaming while still in the dream. But this realization usually wakes me up.
This morning, I had a dream that I accidentally killed my gecko. He ran under the cedar chest, and I was trying to pick him up, and I rolled the chest over to get him, and the wheel cut his head off. My dream was awfully graphic (looked very realistic), and I was pretty shaken by it. What's weird is I don't even have that gecko anymore, I got tired of deaing with live crickets and I gave him to a family who adores him and has a bunch of different cool reptiles, he is loved and pampered by his new family. So why on earth, almost a year later, would I have a dream that I accidentally killed him? :ohwell:0 -
Every once in while I do have nightmares. Very violent and graphic.0

I definitely get nightmares!0

When I have a recurring nightmare, I decide the outcome I will visualize if I get it again. This has worked for me.
I had a recurring dream that I was back in high school standing in front of my locker, but couldn't remember the combination. Not a scary nightmare, but annoying. I decided that whenever I had this nightmare that I would look in my purse and the combination would be there. This worked.
I had a recurring dream of being chased and decided that when I had that dream, would turn around and turn into a tiger and rip apart who/what was chasing me. This worked.
I had recurring work nightmares, but decided the outcomes, such as closing my office door or even just picking up my scissors suggestively.
I don't know if this "directed dreaming" will work for you, but it is a valid solution for many.0 -

hmmmm I wonder :huh:0 -
Nightmares are so bizarre. I have them on occasion, but nothing regularly. It usually represents some issue in my life I need to resolve. At least that's my self-analysis.0

I do not dream... odd....0

but I have a reoccurring nightmare that I dream about ~all~ the damned time.
by the way, what ~is~ your reoccurring nightmare?0 -
I rarely have good dreams, most are bad - some are absolutly horrifying and most are graphic, very realistic and have me as a serial killer. It has been that way since I was 15 or so.
My brother has night terrors - they freak the hell right out of me.0 -
I have had the same or atleast very similar reoccuring nightmare since I was a teen... Still get it every few months sometimes twice in a week.. and I have other nightmares too... yayy... :grumble:0

i have a reocurring nightmare. same damn one. I am a student in high school or college and i realize when it comes times for finals that I forgot to go to a class for the entire semester. (variations include not being able to find the room it is being held in, not knowing where my locker is or what my combination is, etc...) I've been told its an "achievement" dream. haha0

They say your dreams, in some way or another, are related to things going on in your life and your thoughts/emotions/stress.
It's very interesting. I think it also depends on your sleep quality and what stage of sleep you are in.
I have definitely had nightmares before...not recently though. I did have a dream Sunday night that I was driving a monster truck and I couldn't control it no matter how hard I tried. I kept trying to back out of a place and I would lose control and go off the side of the road and roll over down into a deep ravine. It was interesting that I dreamt of that, because I had binged on junk food all weekend, really bad on Sunday. I think it signified my loss of control over food. Weird.0 -

I have a similar one where I can't remember my schedule or room numbers so I don't know where to go and I have to take this class or not graduate. The school is always like a maze and I wonder around aimlessly in a cold sweat.0
