hmm had to take a couple days out to sickness already and bad weather, but halfway there at 2500 (its the 4th here). Cycling, running, swimming are the best calorie burning sports i tell you! :D

Good luck to you all but you do realize that you don't need to burn this much to burn fat and lose weight, correct?

Heavy lifting 3 times a week with moderate cardio (20-30 mins) 2-3 times a week, 2 rest days, 10-20% deficit under TDEE and hitting your macros [40/30/30 is a great ratio] is all you need  Don't kill yourselves over exercise guys!

GleeChick is right about this challenge. It is very difficult for most people starting out. I have been burning 5000+ calories per week for the past several months. My weight is stable as I consume almost as much as I burn daily. My body composition and fitness level give me a huge advantage. Lean muscle mass is a calorie incinerator. My body fat % is approx. 10% and I go running and biking almost daily. Those activities are tremendous calorie burners. I'm trying to work in some swim time and weight training as well. Most of the weight I lose and gain is just water weight. I use this type of challenge to keep me motivated in logging my food and exercise calories daily so I can maintain balance and my current weight. If you follow a plan as GleeChick describes, you will find this type of challenge doable as your body composition and fitness level improves.
