So...I've just found out that Newman's Own Light Balsamic is freaking amazing.

What other good low cal ones are there? I've been using safeway brand salad spritzers (1 cal per squirt). The asian sesame ginger is good.

Try Bolthouse Farms yogurt dressings. I use the ranch, thousand island and bleu cheese dressings. They have 45 calories for 2 tbsp and taste DELISH! They are usually found in the produce department in the dressing cooler. I also use the Safeway sesame ginger spritzer...YUM!

I've been obsessed with wishbone light honey dijon. 70cals per 2 tbsp and it tastes amazing!
  • I really like Berenstein's Light Cheese Fantastico dressig! It is so flavorful I only need a half of a serving! Also, my husband like Newman's Light Sesame Ginger Dressing-it is a little sweet for me, but great if you like that!

I like a wet salad so I take fat free mayo and add water until it is thin. Other than that I use the Wish Bone Spritzers.

We keep a bottle of the Light Cheese Fantastico as well! My wife loves that one...It's a little intense for me but good if I'm out of others.

I haven't seen the wish bone spritzers...but I'm not gonna lie...the thinned out mayo idea makes me gag a little.

I just came across Kraft's Caesar Vinigrette! I'm very happy about this one because it has the great flavor of Caesar, but only 70 cals per serving. Its not heavy like a typical Caesar.

Wish Bone - Light Asian Sesame, Greek & Superfruit Berry. Love them. 70 cals per serving. You also can't go wrong with mixing up EVOO & Balsamic Vinegar. I do 1 tbsp EVOO & 2 Tbsp Balsamic. 140 cals.

Kens steakhouse northern Italian lite dressing is really good. Hidden valley ranch lite is good also. Those are the only two i have found that i like. Don't try the fat free bleu cheese, it costs me over 5 bucks for a bottle and it was so bad i threw it away!

Oh my gosh...I was going to comment on how much I looovvveee Newmans Own Lite Balsamic dressing. It is so good. And at 45 calories for 2 tblsp it is perfect. I add it to a bunch of organic lettuce (3 cups) and it fills me up all afternoon.

So i am eating something I love for very few calories and I can save most of my daily calories for a delicious dinner.

Hey there. Also a huge fan of the Newman's Own Lite Basalmic.

The Tzatziki sounds like a great idea. Where do you purchase that? Is it in a certain section at the grocery?

If I'm going super low, I'll just use vinegar sparingly and no oil (i.e. cider vinegar or sherry and balsamic are good if you don't want too much savory). The secret to going with just the vinegar and still making it taste good it what else you put in the salad i.e: nuts, fruit (grapes, papaya, melon), roasted vegetables

Or I really really really like homemade lemon & poppy seed dressing:
1 cup yoghurt (soy or dairy)
    2 tbsps lemon juice
    2tbsps honey
    1 tsp poppy seeds

Takes 5 mins, lasts up to 5 days and makes roughly 18 tablespoons at 16 cals tablespoon (when made with soya yoghurt).

I get it in the deli section at our grocery store (well beside the deli section) where they have different pre-made dips and such! There are lots of recipes online to make it yourself if you wanted
