Hahah so a friend of mine saw that there was calorie free "whipped peanut spread" at walmart. I love peanut butter, and i knew that was too good to be true, but when I saw it, I just HAD to know...
That was the most terrible crap I ever tasted. I threw it away. Haha anyone else ever experienced walden farms stuff? Very vile.

Bump - interested in seeing the reviews0

I tried the ranch salad dressing just HOPING and it was the most chemical tasting product I have ever tried. That was during the first week of my diet. I know better now LOL0

You are better off eating the "real" version of foods in moderate amounts instead of buying artificial stuff like Walden Farms.
I try to eat as clean and natural as possible, and have found that a lot of the low calorie food geared to people that are watching their weight are full of artificial ingredients, which can cause health problems, or even weight retention in some people.0 -
leave the jar outside for the squirrels!0

Most of the time if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. That stuff is NOTHING like peanut butter. Try pB2 (bellplantation.com) a peanut powder you reconstitute with water that is actually like peanut butter but way less calories and fat. The ingredients are peanuts. Pretty much as good as you'll get for the calories.
I do like walden farms chipotle ranch dressing though. The chocolate syrup isn't awful either.0 -
I've tried their chocolate syrup and it was TERRIBLE! I had to throw it out too.0
-
I have a friend who tried their "zero calorie" dressing and did not think they were too bad but I don't see how it can be zero calorie... I would rather have taste and 45-60 calories!! Heck I like flavored vinegars alone in my salad (Perel is an online company and has some incredible flavors)0

I made the mistake of trying the salad dressing after people raved about it at a weight watchers meeting. Totally nasty stuff. I agree with the earlier poster.... better to eat real foods instead of the processed junk.0
-
I love their dressings. Ceasar, Ranch, Honey Dijon, all of them are in my fridge. I did NOT like their alfredo sauce.0
-
I love Chili's honey mustard dressing, so I tried the fat free to save calories....YUCK....I will just use less dressing cause the real stuff is better.0

Oh dear God, if only I had seen this post two days ago. My husband and I saw the calorie-free dressing on Monday during our grocery trip, and decided to give it a whirl. 30 seconds after opening the bottle and getting a little taste, it was in the trash.0
-
I like their ranch! I mix it with a little cottage cheese or plain Greek yogurt and then mix it into my salad. yum!
I thought the chocolate sauce was awful...0 -
I saw a review about it saying even the squirrels wouldn't eat it LOL!0

If you love peanut butter you must try PB2. It's all natural REAL peanut butter. 45 calories in 2 tablespoons. Absolutley, positively yumminess...0 -
Tried the Carmel sauce- yuk, yuk, yuk!0
-
Personally, I like some of the Walden Farms products. My favorites are the Bacon Ranch, Creamy Bacon, and Raspberry Vinaigrette dressings. I also use the caramel syrup to add into vanilla shakes. I did try the mayo and alfredo sauce and hated it. I have the garlic and herb sauce and the tomato basil sauce but haven't tried them yet.0

I've tried several of the Walden Farms products and threw them away after one bite. YUCK!!0

I liked the chocolate dip (not the syrup) to put on strawberries. I would pop them in the freezer til the chocolate was hardened. It was a nice treat. The ranch dressing wasn't too bad, but it didn't taste anything like regular ranch. Other than those two, I didn't like anything else. I still have the caramel dip in my pantry that hasn't been opened cause I'm too scared to try it, LOL.0

I like Walden Farms for its pancake syrup. To me it tastes better than Davinci's pancake syrup. Otherwise, I don't really like Walden Farms products.0

This little bit is how some of these places call things 0 calories even though they're not, especially with how some people use them "because" they are 0 calories (using 100x as much as hey it's calorie free)
From the FDA labeling requirements found here http://www.fda.gov/Food/GuidanceComplianceRegulatoryInformation/GuidanceDocuments/FoodLabelingNutrition/FoodLabelingGuide/ucm064894.htmN7. When the caloric value for a serving of a food is less than 5 calories, can the actual caloric value be declared?
Answer: The caloric value of a product containing less than 5 calories may be expressed as zero or to the nearest 5 calorie increment (i.e., zero or 5 depending on the level). Foods with less than 5 calories meet the definition of “calorie free” and any differences are dietarily insignificant. 21 CFR 101.9(c)(1)N12. The total fat content for a serving of my product is 0.1 g. How should I declare fat and calories from fat?
Answer: Because it is present at a level below 0.5 g, the level of fat is expressed as 0 g. Calories from fat would also be expressed as zero. 21 CFR 101.9(c)(1)(i), 21 CFR 101.9(c)(2)0 -

OOPS sorry if you like whipped peanut butter try kraft its awesome0 -
My daughter likes their BBQ sauce, and she just bought me a bottle. Will give it a try.0
-
Our walmart has not gotten any of these yet. I havent seen a mod change for it either. I hope they do, as I would be interested in trying something like this.0
-
I had a horrible experience when I order some stuff online. what a waste of money.
Cons:
- the marshmallow sauuce was vile, but I sholdve known better.
- the thick and spciy BBQ sauce was ok if you only have a little bit at a time, but thats only because the spicy tries its best to overpower the nasty
- the ranch mayo was gross. the after taste was tolerable but the actual taste is yelch
Pros: the customer service was great
$20 down the drain. Never again.0 -
I've got to ask...is it zero calories coz no one eats these things?0
-
I've only tried the Blue Cheese dressing and the Chocolate sauce. Neither was terrible but not wonderful either. If you use a small amount of the dressing you get the flavor fine, but if you use too much it does have that chemical taste. I also used the chocolate sauce on strawberries and I thought it was pretty good.0

It's not that big of a deal when we're talking about the kinds of serving sizes generally involved. I think you'd be hard pressed to find foods with with sub-five calorie serving sizes that you could really eat enough of to factor into diets that frankly should be 1000+ calories at an absolute minimum.0 -
Depends on what the product is "those 0 calories sprays" that you use in place of olive oil or butter in your pans...
here's some comments on one of them
"I can't believe it's not butter" spray... some user....It has 0 calories
The bottle actually contains 990 calories and over 90 grams of fat.
Track that and see the difference in your weight loss.0 -
Ugh i bought this crap too thinking it would be AMAZING and INCREDIBLE and will totally SAVE me calories!
How wrong I was. I really wanted to like it too! The texture is weird and it tastes like science-y processed fluff. But I paid almost $4 for the jar at walmart, and now I feel like I need to eat it anyway just not to feel bad about wasting money! lol0
