Well not always true and depends on how much weight.

When I went from 350+ to 175 yep they shrunk. I went from 44DD to a 38C. They next 25 lbs I had no change.

Also when I added exercise for underlying chest muscles they appeared to get higher and perky LOL!!

Sure does. Mine are the first to go. I'm sure it depends on the person and depends on how big you are but yes you will more than likely lose some of them.
  • Nope. Mine haven't gone anywhere.

when I got to my goal weight and saw a friend I hadn't seen in a while the 1st thing she asked is if I had had a breast reduction. Seriously.

I have gone from a 34c to a 34a... No joke..... I haev lost about 22lbs, and my body fat is down to 22.5%. I thinking lossing chest has more to do with loosing body fat % then just weight...
  • mine are definitely going but i dont mind losing some.

I'd say it depends a lot on your genes... I went down from a 36C to a 34A, but basically all the slender women in my family are pretty small up top :) So it was really only my weight that allowed me to have boobs. In contrast, a friend of mine who comes from a typically large-breasted family lost quite a it of weight too and her boobs didn't go anywhere :) So if you're family members generally have small boobs, yours *might* shrink too.

Bear in mind though that even if your boobs shrink, you're shrinking too, so the relative size change may not be too significant *holds thumbs*

depends on your body type and how your body gains weight. general rule of thumb is first place you gain will be the last place you lose.

i know for me what will more than likely happen is that my rib cage size will shrink (which it is) but my cup size wont change as much so i might end up having a larger cup size (but smaller band size).

in any case, i'd be happy to lose 1 or 2 cup sizes, but it is what it is

breasts are made up of a lot of fatty tissue, some people have more than others, but yes it's quite common for your breasts to shrink as you burn fat

I am in the same boat. Just about all my family is small chested... Dang genetics!!! Thank goodness God invented plastic surgeons
  • Mine always seem to "dehydrate" FIRST, along with my face, hands, legs and buttocks. :(

If your breasts are mostly fat tissue, you'll likely lose. If it's mostly breast tissue (I'm told they're different) you may not. I lost 4 band sizes but ended up increasing in cup size (from a DD to an H) when I lost 65 lbs. I'm in the process of arranging for a reduction as the new size is just ridiculous on my smaller frame!

Yes, mine have shrunk too much since I've lost 23 pounds. I hope they don't disappear entirely when I lose 27 more!

Yup, mine definitely went down. But I was happy about that. Just makes working out and running more comfortable. And I love not having shirts that fit the rest of my body straining across the front of my chest. :)
  • Two full cups for me and an extra four inches off the band. Sigh. And that's only going from 139 to 122, too. Blarmy.

I think it depends on how big you are to begin with. I was a 40D and after I lost the first 30lbs I was a 38C. :ohwell: A friend of mine is a 32C and lost the same amount of weight-no change. I still feel pretty well endowed but I would have rather lost those pounds in other areas (waist, butt, hips Lol)

From 38dd to a 36c. I like that they have gotten smaller.

I personally have lost 40 pounds and still have about 20 more to loose and so far I have not lost any of the girls..
I think it just depends on the person.. Good Luck..

mine haven't shrunk very much. when i was 220, mine were a DD, now i'm 148 and they're D. even though they're smaller i think they look more in proportion to my body now!

true true true...you can't dictate where the weight will drop off and as alot of breast is fat...bye bye...:ohwell:
  • I'm trying to do some chest exercises to hopefully keep them perky if they get smaller. I don't want them to look like deflated balloons.

I'm the same. I go up in cup and down in band. Probably because my boobs stayed the same but my back fat went away :)

At my highest weight I was a 34B, and as soon as I started getting fit, I went back down to a 32B. (I wear a 34A though. It's so much more comfortable.) I hate that I'm so small to begin with and they shrink so readily, but I'm not gaining fifteen pounds to maybe go up a smidgen. I must have no breast tissue at all.

Breasts are made up of fatty tissue & mammary glands. So yes it's possible to lose some weight off your breasts. I have gone down a couple cups sizes and it has been a relief for me personally since they were big & heavy. Not so fun when they cause you pain lol :flowerforyou:
