This question just came across my mind. Would your life be any different if you could have given yourself a few pep talks? If you would have maybe listened to your parents more. Maybe appreciated more... What would you tell your 17 year old self if you had the chance?

Put more effort in to thinking about your future (education wise) I wish I had gone to college but it was hard with my disability and child on the way. When my class graduated I was in the final tri-mester with my son.

Wait more than act. Listen more than talk. If you feel something in your gut, go with that more often than not. If you are listening to someone and thinking, "They don't make sense," they probably don't. Give people a second chance. Don't give people a third chance.

getting married 4 days after your 18th birthday was not a cool thing to do ~ the guy was a complete loser!! Stay in school, finish & get your degree. Yes, it really is THAT important, and NO, it would not be the end of the world calling off the wedding the day before!!!!

Trust in yourself before you place your trust in others!!!!!!!

invest in Apple, keep an eye out for Google and for frack sakes finish that History paper early so that when Cherise spends the night while your parents are away and keep coming out to "talk" to you in less and less sleep wear you don't waste the evening on that fracking paper!!!!! .

Other then that I would tell him to work out more, cuz I can kick the crap out of 17 year old me and that is just sad.

Ignore your critics. Learn to lead your heart, then follow your dreams. Be kind to everybody (including yourself), you never know how wounded a person may be. Don't go to the watermelon stand ...
