water weight

So I weigh in regularly and know that I have gained at least a pound over the month of June due to just relaxing and letting myself go a bit. However, today I weighed in and it was up four pounds from yesterday. I am not due for TOM but I did eat a ton of salt from saurkrawt and a turkey brat yesterday. My salt level on my diary was way way over but could that really contribute to four pounds. I just can't imagine it causing a whole four pounds worth of weight gain. I was ok with the one pound yesterday because I know that I had let some things go but today seemed so far off. Just hoping for a little advice on how to get myself back down.

I've gone up five pounds in water weight before. Overnight.

Talk about a rude awakening the next morning on the scale! :noway:

ohhh yeah! definitely water weight gain.
Flush it out with drinking MORE water! Sodium is the easiest way to weigh up!

Hmmm... I don't track sodium in my food diary... How much is a healthy daily amount?

    Just wondering!
