Just Curious...

I have been wondering ( out of pure curiousity) if anyone out there has met a MFP friend and actually got to meet that new friend in
person. Hope that doesnt sound creepy! I was just thinking how close you become with some of your friends on MFP. I live in Canada
but curious if anyone has ever met their friends.

Not creepy at all...........for me, I really don't know how to navigate the whole online thing to a face to face interaction/friendship thing. A lot of crazies out there, ya know? But honestly, I have never really met anyone on here that fits that definition. But if you want to do it or if you have........more power to ya!

Just pure curiousity - I have a few friends who I think I would like to meet in person....unfortunately, I do not live near any of them.

I've never met any of my friends on here in real life. Would be pretty cool if I could meet some of them but they're miles and miles away.

I started off on another weight loss website over a year ago, and there was one woman I felt I really bonded with. Over time, the website went off track. She did too. She left long before I did, came back saying she was failing then disappeared again. In time, I left the site too.

It's weird, but I really felt like I got on with her in a relatively short time, and I still miss her and wonder how she's getting on. When I joined MFP I searched for her username and she's had an account on here at some point, but I have no idea when and her profile is private. She lived some way away, but I would have loved to meet her.

I really have no desire to meet people irl that live far away from me. What's the point really? But if someone was close enough to become a running/climbing partner, for sure, I'd love to meet up with them.

I've met MFP friends in my area...two of which have become very good IRL friends. I've also met MFP friends from out of state, and one of which has become my IRL .
