How do I figure out my Calorie Burn?
I'm 30yrs old, 5'1 and 166 Female
one of my workouts today was
45 mins
Avg HR-95
Max HR- 178
My HRM is a very cheap one, It doesn't ask anything Just gives me my Max, and Avg.
Any help would be Great!
Thanks
Shannon

Not sure because mine also tells me how many calories I burn. I think to figure it out you need to know what your HR was for the 45 min.0

My watch tells me exactly how many calories burned and all that junk. I have a polar ft4 though. Did yours come with a chest strap?0

Yes, I have a chest strap0

google "calories burned based on average heart rate" and there are a number of different web based calculators - you'll have to play around with some of them to see which one works best.0

Great, Thank you!!!0

If you're looking to invest in a really good HRM, Polar's FT7 is the most popular model out there. It gives everything beginners need plus features to make it more advanced. I caught mine on sale at Academy Sports for $89 but they usually run $119. A good HRM is the best and most accurate way to measure calories burned without being hooked up to all kinds of crazy machines.0
