Ok I am a die hard peanut butter lover. Is this stuff really that awesome? If it is I'll order some off amazon. Can't find it anywhere around where I live.

  • I love it! It makes me feel so fancy and chef like making my own peanut butter every day. I mix it with my oatmeal but it's so versatile for so little calories compared to regular peanut butter.

p.s. I'm a die hard lover of peanut butter too and it's my one weakness!

I use PB2 Chocolate and I love it. I put it in my chocolate protein shakes as a low calorie peanut butter kick. I've never actually mixed it up with water but it's great for what I use it for.

Is it sweet tasting? I've been intrested in trying it as well, but I am a little picky about the types of peanut butter I buy! It has to have that sweet taste to it.

I found some at a local store, so I figured I would try it. I found it to be a little bitter and I do not think I would eat it as a sandwich. I'm gonna give it another chance, though, and try it with my oatmeal.

I like to eat it mixed in with stuff (smoothies, oatmeal, etc.) but to just make it for the purpose of having peanut butter, it's not really my cup of tea. It doesn't offer enough savory/sweet to satisfy on its own, it just tastes super bland.

I'm not sure that it is sweet, very nutty mainly. But I'm sure the chocolate peanut butter flavor would be sweeter.

I don't know about using it as actual peanut butter - I'm a Kraft Crunchy kind of gal. But in smoothies, mixed into yogurt, into dips.... oh, yeah.

I found some in our local supermarket (Betty Lou's Just Great Stuff - Organic Powdered Peanut Butter) it was actually really good. I've used it in sandwiches and added it to a little greek yogurt to make a peanut butter "dip" for apples. Thought this article was really interesting. http://www.dailygarnish.com/2010/09/powdered-peanut-butter-a-review-taste-test.html

Tried some at a friends and she really likes it...I guess you have to be careful on the amount of water you put in it or it can be really soupy. I like that there is quite a lot less fat in it because they remove the oil. And to echo everyone else here, my friend loves it in her smoothies, as well!

Wondering if it would be safe for those with peanut allergies....just wondering....

Probably wouldn't be safe because it is still peanuts. All they have done is taken the majority of the oil out, which if one eats natural peanut butter, is not that hard to do as the oil will naturally separate. They push it further than what happens naturally, but I'm guessing the process is pretty straight forward. Still, the product that is left is still peanuts though, just with a lot less fat.

I would say no it would not be safe. The oil has been but it's still from peanuts.

No, definitely not. It's just peanuts that have been roasted, crushed, and the oil extracted. It's not artificial.
  • I just got my shipment today!! OMG it is sooooo good!!!

As someone who previously could eat half a jar of peanut butter with a spoon...its OK. It does have a good peanut flavor, and its ingredients are all natural so thats good.

I give it a yes for sandwiches/recipes....for eating off a spoon...I don't like is as much. But you can't beat saving about 75% of the calories when your trying to lose weight right?

I love it! Its no where close to regular peanut butter, but the calories saved makes it worth the sacrifice! ;-)

I love it as a protein add to my miracle muscle mix. Haven't tried it in anything else yet but can see adding it to yogurt, oatmeal and 3-2-1 chocolate cake for a pb/chocolate cupcake.

I only eat natural pb (peanuts, salt) without other additives or sugar so can't comment on whether it is sweet or not. Sugar pb just turns me off.
