I am again tired this morning and feeling a little light headed. But...I'm okay. Last night we made our childcare arrangements final! YAY! We went and paid our deposit with this WONDERFUL lady who will be watching our little one! I am SO happy. It is so scary trying to find someone to take care of your child all day every day, and we are totally comfortable with our choice. So...YAY! My list is getting shorter! The nursery is finished, my shower is August 1st, so all I really have left to do is pack my hospital bag (which I've already kind of started). So...I think I'm doing pretty good!
ANYways...gonna get started on some work, but I will check back again later! Have a great morning ladies and a good start to week 4!!!!0 -

Good morning! My new "unofficial" goal for this challenge is to be out of the 150s by the end. I'm getting so close now! I was 148 this time last year, but I gained 10 lbs over the winter. I did finally get an exercise bike this weekend, and I love it! :happy: I've been pedaling 6 miles a day for the past 4 days! I'm still walking on the treadmill 1/2 a mile a day. I've cut that distance down, slowed way down, and lowered the incline all the way down, but I'm still burning calories! All this has made it much easier on my toe. My living room now looks like a gym! :laugh: (Only place to really put them in my house) Have a great week everyone!0 -

Wow...I am jealous of Tammy and Maggie...you are really dropping fast! Good for you. I was happy to come back down from my gain last week (which I suspected some was water) and am now just 1 lb under starting weight for the challenge. Much slower than I'd like but maintaining is still better than gaining! They say those last few pounds before actually hitting goal weight can be really tough and I can surely relate to that! There is a definite correlation to whan I log my eating and when I don't so keep at it ladies. Log everything that goes in your mouth whether you like it or not and it will really help you in the long term!

Oh please don't be jealous ... I'm pretty sure the only reason it's going so fast right now is because I've only just begun and I have a lot of weight yet to lose. I'm sure it will slow down in time. Don't get me wrong ... I'm thrilled with the progress ... but I'm sure it will slow down soon.0 -

Maggie, I am so jealous of you. I've lost my motivation and cannot find my resolve against overeating. But look at your weight loss this challenge!!! WOWZA! Keep it up!!
Tammy, me too. I need to start getting some freakin' REAL sleep.
Kristin, you are in the final stages of growing a baby. You need to make sure you are getting enough rest (as much as you can, in as many naps as you can, I doubt you are sleeping through the night at this point). Growing a baby takes SO MUCH ENERGY from your body. It's truly a miracle, to GROW a little person inside our abdomens.
Martha, while you aren't losing lots, at least you are still ahead of the game!! :flowerforyou:
I can't stop gaining. I am on a new med... maybe that is partially responsible for the insatiable hunger I have. Doesn't matter though, I MUST get this under control. I start my temp position next Wednesday and my work clothes barely fit since I've gained almost 15lbs back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :sick:
I'm headed to the pool this afternoon and going to actually swim as much as possible. Depends on how many kids are in the pool, you know?

I stepped on the scale this morning, and decided I am not posting my weight today... After that burger and fries last night (not to mention the pizza for breakfast), my sodium was through the roof, so.... I have to weigh in on Thursday for a different group, and I will post then.
On a good note.... Woke up before my alarm this morning, so I got up, got dressed, and went for my C25K run... Came back and had some oatmeal mixed with chopped walnuts for breakfast. Then took my oldest to the dentist and ran some errands. Picked him up some taco bell for lunch, but didn't get anything for myself. Came home and made a big spinach salad. Of course, I'm feeling a bit like I want something more to eat (feeling deprived with no taco bell), but I have to go find a nice fresh pile of our dog's poo to take to the vet with us. That should cure the urge to eat more! :laugh:
Also taking the cat in to the vet at the same time. Doesn't that just sound like fun? I AM a glutton for punishment!0 -

Went to the pool. It was great for my soul. I relaxed a lot. Sunlight is helpful.
I ate my weight in Whoppers (candy) just now. Started to get really upset. Luckily, my swimming negated the calories in the Whoppers I ate --- I intentionally swam for a while---- so I'm okay. I breathed a deep breath, logged my food, and will make it through the night.
I'm off to shower with the radio blasting. I feel like singing in the shower!!

Hi Sixers,
I have to be accountable for my food intake/ exercise output or else I will never lose my weight! Right now, i am done with dinner and have 82 calories left for the evening. Should I get a rogue craving later, I can still have 1 strawberry fig newton or 1 pack of cracker sticks and dipping cheese or 7 Whoppers. I am hoping to not eat anything else tonight.
That is my goal. Nothing more in my mouth tonight.

Good morning ladies.... It's a beautiful day today. Rolled out of bed, took the dog for a walk already this morning, although we both had to fight the biting flies today. It stormed last night, I wonder if that made the bugs worse today?
Today is DH's and my 4 year anniversary! We have plans to go out to dinner at a new irish restaurant in town. Then we're going to go to a bar where we have a friend playing in a band. We're not big drinkers, so I'm not worried about blowing my calories on the alcohol.
So.... how did it go last night Lauryn? Were you able to resist all those temptations you listed? Remember, you've done this once already, you can do it again. Once you get started, it'll get easier. f

Hey Robin! Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!!!! Have fun tonight listening to that band.
And no, I did not resist temptation. I managed to until 1am when I went to bed angry and upset with Mr. X, then I ate a serving or two of peanut butter flavored Whoppers. Luckily, that is only 190-380 cals in damage. I would have done way worse if I had hit the ice cream. I'll count my lucky stars where I can find them.
I am doing better today. Each day is a new day, each one a new chance to make this right. I will fix it.
I haven't done lunch yet, but I washed my Jeep (and burned 538 calories.... I vigorously wash and detail!!) and am folding laundry now (not counting those cals). Today should be a good day, food wise. It's a crummy day, dealing with Mr. X.
I start a new temp job next Wednesday. I am glad since it will give me insurance. I am not-so-glad because it pays only about 75% of what my last job paid. That hurts. Gotta count my blessing though.... I need insurance!!!!0 -

The whole group seems to be doing well. I'm glad we have each other to depend on. Its TOM for me and I'm on my period so no weighing in for me this week. I'm sure I would not be happy with the results. LOL. Anyway.... I need to log on to the site more. I hope at least once daily. I've been out of touch for a while. :laugh: Just a quick check-in for me. We still don't have a computer at home so I haven't been on much, plus my Mum is visiting for a week and a half so we're busy busy!! Doing well (and just maintaining right now) and running like a fool. I'm maintaining because I've noticed that the calorie deficit is really affecting my energy levels. We had a talk from a nutritionist who said that if anyone is trying to lose weight while undertaking this training they'll find that in the first half of the training they'll probably have decreased energy and take longer to recover and though I know I can maintain a smaller deficit and be okay, I'm just taking it as it comes. I figure during weeks when we're really stepping up our training I'll keep plenty of food in me and weeks that we're planning training plateaus I'll reduce my calories.
Lauryn, there's always a road back. Just keep searching.
