Chicken tikka masala

How many calories is it in a Chicken tikka masala? Just the chicken and sauce, no rice or naan.

Its the sauce that is the culprit. It has heavy cream, cashew nut paste(sometimes) and oil which comes to approximately 450calories per serving. I love it!! Yumm...Once in a while though...:)

One more question.. How many calories is the large plan naan you get in an indian restaurant? I don't mean the small ones you get in Asda etc :)

I don't know what Asada is, but usually I pick either the generic or homemade nada under the drop down box in the menu that gives close results to the real one. The calories for one naan is usually around 250 calories. Hope this helps!!

As an Indian who likes to cook I can tell you the non-spice items that goes in a chicken tikka. This is homemade though and the restaurant version might be different

    2 lbs chicken (with bones)
    1 cup of yogurt
    2 tbsp lemon juice
    4 tbsp oil (olive oil)
    1 tbsp ginger+garlic paste

add them up. For a big guy like me this is 3 servings atleast

For a naah, again it'll depend on wha tkind of naan. Most Indian restaurants will have it covered with ghee, specially in buffets which drastically increases the calories but a typical naan that can be cut into 4 pieces is 250 calories
