advice on how to deal with a work colleague
Options
This girl at work, we were friends and as far as she is concerned, she thinks we still are. But loads of people at work and me have noticed she is bossy, loves to talk about people behind their backs, a know it all and loves to take over things. Plus she has a face like a slapped *kitten*!
I found out today, that when I was getting drinks from the stock room last week, she said to another colleague that "I dont know why she isgetting them 15 mins before her break as she takes ages"
Now I know its not a lot. But how do I know she hasn't said anything else!
She wasn't in today, but she is tomorrow and she does my head in. I dont want to talk to her and Shes obvsgonna ask why. What can I say so I don't look like the bad girl and she complains about me? I dont want to get sacked!!!

Simple, Say nothing.
Is she you "Friend" Outside of work?
If not then just smile and move along. Every place has someone ike that, and saying anything will just lead to bad things.
If she talks about you behind your back, don't worry about it. If you have done nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about.
Couldn't we all do with less drama in our lives.0 -
if she was your friend, you wouldn't have a problem looking her in the eye and saying "stop being a b!tch"0

I hate those kinds of people, we have a few of them at work.
The best thing to do is just ignore it - as long as you're doing nothing wrong then don't worry. Worry about what you are doing, not what other people are. She'll soon be found out.
You can also tell yourself that you are better than that, you have something more important to do then talk nasty about other people to feel big and clever (clearly not putting her energies into getting work done!)
People who act like that always get a taste of their own medicine sometime soon.0 -
Welcome to the grown-up world of work. This is part of having a job. Ignore her. Don't talk about her behind her back. Then you are doing the same thing. Go about your business and pretend you don't hear her.0

I know there's always someone you dont get on with but what can I say if she asks why im ignoring her? Shall I tell her straight? We're not really friends outside work. I've been round hers once.0
