Scales: analogue vs digital...

So, I moved to Australia nearly 4 weeks ago. I've been walking loads and eating less. When I left I was 70.2KG according to my WW digital scales. I'm now 65KG according to my cousins analogue scales. That's apparently a 5KG difference yet my clothes don't fit any better.
Does anyone know how much difference there is on average between digital and analogue scales because the ones here can't be right.

im having the same problem.. i bought some WW scales last week and i put them on a hard flat surface and i was 13.6 stone, i stepped off them, and on again and then i was magically 13.2 stone. I then bought some analogue scales and i was 13.7, i tried my grans analogue scales and i was 13.5!!! So i really dont have a clue what my correct weight is.
Make sure your scales arnt on a carpet, and on a hard surface0 -
They're on a tiled floor, but I think they're cheap and nasty. How can I apparently lose 5kg and my clothes still fit the same?! Unless I had a magic 5kg of water that I was hanging on to...?0

the other day I awoke early got on scales and 9st 10 i was thrilled so went to start up wii fit to weigh in and literally in the few minutes it took to start up I had gone from 9st 10 to 10st 2! .. I thought that can't be right, I went back to bathroom scales and got 10st then 9st 12, then 9st 13 went back to wii and got 10st 1, so no idea which one is right!
I am at TOTM so maybe its water fluctuations I'll try again after its all off, but at least 9st 10-10st 2 is a better range than 12st 7-12st 13!! .. so I'm heading the right way at least!! .. I'm trying to get to 60kg which is 9st 6.. so I guess I'm somewhere between 60-70kg, but I don't know KG very well as we weight in stones in UK.0 -
I usually weigh in stone and pounds too coz I'm from the UK, it's taken me a while to get used to KG. 120lbs is about 55KG or 8.5 stone. I could understand it if it was a few lbs too, but 5 KG is like 12lbs! Argh, it's driving me nuts!0

my gran told me today.. if you have a bag of sugar put it on the scales.. at least you will know if your scales are showing the correct weight, I think my WW scales was just faulty. Im going to stop weighing myself every morning though its making me depressed!0

I'll try that in the morning, thanks!! Didn't even think of it! I weigh myself every day, I get really anxious if I don't, I dread standing on the scales and it saying I've put on loads. At least if I see everyday what I am I can adjust my food accordingly. I don't know how accurate WW scales are, there was a kilo difference between my WW ones and my mums digital ones and they were in the same room!! I love that they tell you how much you've lost since your initial weigh in though and how much you've got to go to your goal. I miss my scales!!0
