I have 6 kids, and a husband who I love dearly (sometime he counts as kids number 7). So, whenever I am asked my occupation, I put "Domestic Engineer who specializes in managing chaos". I laughed because on one of the school papers that has the emergency contact info on it, they really did list "domestic engineer" as my occupation. It is easier than saying, cook, maid, taxi driver, teacher, gardener, lawn care supervisor, etc.
