Aerospace Engineer on maternity leave until August. I am on a team that designs the electrical cable routing in the A380.

I always feel the need to clarify my job. Once someone asked me what I do for a living and I said Aerospace Engineer and he said "Whut's that, like a stewardess or sumthin'?" I just wanted to break his face.

I just wanted to edit this to make clear that I think a flight attendant is a fantastic job with travel opportunities and hopefully good pay (because they deserve it dealing with snooty business and 1st class passengers that think they're better than them and the drunk guy that seems to be on every long haul flight I am on) There is certainly training and education associated with it. This guy was just being sexist.
