How about a challenge to get us through to the next weigh in? I have a huge issue lately with late night snacking, so from now until Wednesday no snacking after dinner for me.:drinker: :drinker:

    Who is with me?

    Great idea!! I'm in!! :drinker:

I'm in! Seems like the only challenge I have mastered is the exercise ones and the water. Hmmm-it's the dang food! Emotional and boredom eater for sure!:ohwell: It's my supposedly day off, but I'm gonna try the 100 push up challenge again. It'll be slower going this time:ohwell: Have a good day.

I'm in for the new challenge. I've been late at night again for the past week or two. I need to stop. It's usually cereal. My boyfriend goes back to work this week and we'll be back on our normal schedule. Hopefully, that will help. I usually try not to eat after 7.......8 at the latest. Good luck Blues!!

I'm in on this week's challenge.

Oh, and I found that sucking on ice helps cravings!!!!

What are some of your ways that you resist cravings?

Hey guys, I forgot to tell you- I got the ok to go back to work-finally! After over 2 yrs! I have an Occupational Therapy assessment on Wed. to tell them exactly what I can do- the Doc and PT are very impressed with my flexibility- then the return to work meeting plan is on next Thurs. I really hope and think this is going to help with my eating. I'll have to plan ahead and have everything ready, but I usually ate better back then till home time. When am I going to have to workout for 1 hour when I work over 12 hour shifts? Yes, a HUGE concern. Hopefully I can only work twice a week until my energy builds and then fit it in. Wish I was a morning gal. I'm pretty nervous to go and really wanted to lose a few more pounds to be set and show them all I didn't sit on my butt and eat the whole time. Oh well. New hairstyle hopefully coming on Tues. for starters. Why am I so insecure all the time?

I didn't realize that one small yogurt had 1/2 of my daily intake of sugars.

That's what I hate about yogurt! But I thought since it's healthy sugars, it shouldn't count as "bad of you", right?

There's sugar in lots of our foods for no reason, there's another thread about consuming sugar with some info.

Can you post the link for the thread?

hmo4- that is great news, and once you get into a routine it will most likely be better for you.

What a great response to the challenge. We can do this blues, and lets have a great week.

Okay blues-We need to get out of this funk we have all been in:frown: . I know we all have a lot going on and some of you have some major issues and changes going on in your lives, but these are the times we can't fall back on our old ways. Keep the goal in mind and take it one day at a time:wink: .

I have been on this ice kick. Well i love it with my coke but I love to just have a glass and suck and chew on it. So I think that is a good thing.

I read somewhere about freezing fruit juice into ice cube trays and then putting those in your water. Maybe I'll try that today.

I am no longer going to weigh myself... I think im just going to coast until September hoping not to go over 190lbs... In September I start school and am out of the kitchen. I think it will be easier that way.. I hope next year sometime to be at my goal weigh of 150lbs, and then possibly 145lbs. Until then... Im taking a rest!

Thank you for the support, guys.

Rach - ... and guys say *we're* crazy. :noway: Geeze.

I did well on my weigh-in this weekend... finally broke the 35 pound mark. I can't WAIT to get into the 230's. I've been walking with my friend Sean and his dog Belle each evening this past week... I mowed our yard and the neighbors yard... I started a circuit routine on our weight machine at work... I've been using the elliptical... all-in-all, I burned anywhere from 500-750 calories each day last week, ate almost all of them back each day (loved that!) and lost weight!

This week I'm concentrating on doing the same thing. It's been raining today so I'm not sure if I'll be able to go on my walk with Sean and Belle this evening, but I'm going to use the elliptical and help him move some things in his garage for a garage sale we're having a couple weekends from now. He has a bone disease and can't lift much.

    Minor success for me.

Finally the scale has agreed with me and the inches that I have lost.

The last few weeks have been feeling good, using my belt as a waist measurement. I was using the last hole and had to make a new hole about a month ago. This past 2 weeks I was using the new hole and the belt wasn't tight. I will now need to make a new hole this week or next week.
Today the scale finally jumped down 3 lbs.

I've lost 21 lbs since i've had this lifestyle change.:drinker:

Women, I finally realize about the different sizes you have to deal with.:flowerforyou:

My 38" pants and shorts are too big, and I have to have the "fold up" look when I do up my belt.

I can fit in some 36" pants/shorts, but most are too tight still.
    So I'm sorta stuck inbetween.
But it's a good stuck inbetween.

I said to myself I won't post any progress pictures until I get out of the "obese category" about another 13 lbs to go.

alright everyone I walked a mile today. :drinker: Its a bit muggy out there but it felt good to do that. I wanted to run a mile on top of the mile walked however, I didn't want to push myself and end up with a seizure again so i just went with the mile. I was also within my calories today. So exercise and within my calories I'm so excited. I'm with the challenge in MFP for loosing weight by turkey day. So I want the rest of my 26lbs gone by turkey day.

So... they're having some kind of pesticide use training at work today in a room near the kitchen. I went to put my chicken in the fridge and there were two tables full of donuts and pastries and other sweet goodies! :noway: I resisted.

I think we have a no late night snacking challenge going on right now, right? How is everyone doing?

I don't really have a prob with late night snacking... I don't keep anything in the apartment to snack on... but, I am doing our Weight Watchers challenge of eating three different colors of fruits or veggies each day. So far, I've only had two per day (peppers and bananas), but that's better than none! :drinker:

Well I worked out yesterday, and then my hubby discovered one of my kids left our freezer open. So I had to cook a buffet! And ate terribly! So My hubby and I went for a 3 mile walk after supper. It was brutal calorie-wise, but exercise was good. Later I have to do my legs and butt. Going for the hair cut today...looking forward to it. Have a good day.:flowerforyou:

So far so good with the late night snacking. I haven't had anything. I did have dinner kind of late last night. I ate dinner around 8, but it was just a bowl of cereal. Hope you are all doing well. Weigh in tomorrow!!!:noway:

Well as of today, I'm logging again. Eating horribly, but probably not as bad as I would if I weren't forcing myself to log.

Laura and I walked our 3mi last night for the first time in about a month. Our lives have just been so hectic! I'm starting P90x up again tonight....so I'll be doing Chest & Back and Abs and then 3mi with Laura again. :drinker:

day two down. I will weigh in the morning and see what happens. If not this week next week i know there will be a change. I did have a snack after supper today because I was warm and had to have something cool. Sherbert and I did stay within my calorie limit. :drinker:

It's so funny.....every time I try to send Rach my weight, I always type 170 something instead of 160 something. I guess I'm just not used to it yet.

Rach- I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to do this every week. I know you're busy with life, but it's been a great help to me to have to check in here every week. And even though I don't post very often, I like to read what's going on with everyone else. Hope you're having a great week!! :flowerforyou:

Rach - Hang in there! You've got a ton going on and life's thrown you a couple of major changes. It's easy to . You'll get into the swing and back to your groovin' ways...

Also a big thank you to all of you. I had my biggest loss this week since starting with mfp (down to 227.6) . Without this group, I probably would have given up weeks ago. Thank you for posting about your own struggles and successes because that's made me realize that this journey isn't about the destination, but there's a lot of sightseeing along the way.

    THANK YOU! :flowerforyou:
