ok so I'm 5ft I weight 158 lbs. So I recently started walking/running on my thread mill, it's a little old but works great. I usually walk/ run at speed 2.9 -4.0. My calories burned says 209 on thread mill after 30 mins, my question is ... Is that correct? My brothers gf said it should be less. Let me know what you guys think.

No, I think that's pretty accurate. Maybe a little less than that, but get a HRM and you'll know for sure...

That seems about average. I run on treadmill at 7-7.5 and burn about 100 cals/10 minutes.

What does MFP say when you plug the walk data into the Cardio Exercise area?

The only way of knowing for sure is to get a heart rate monitor. It's way more accurate than any machines "guess" at your calorie burn.

I'm 5'2" and 151lbs and I can burn about 200-250 calories in 30 minutes on my elliptical or doing a very brisk walk/light jog so that could totally be right. You could try checking your machine with the MFP database and see if it's similar or buy a heart rate monitor if you're really concerned but I'd say that's likely pretty accurate so don't sweat it.
