Too Easy to Be True BBQ Chicken
Options
Start up your slow cookers!
2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/2 Bud Select 55 Beer (What you do with the rest is up to you!)
3/4 cup Light Kraft BBQ sauce
1 small yellow onion, sliced thickly
Garlic powder, season salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to taste
Toss it all in the crockpot on high for about 5 hours. Shred and serve on whatcha like. It's well under 200 calories.

I wouldn't use diet soda. I would use root beer, ginger beer, sprite, apple cider, apple juice, orange juice...0 -

I would consider omitting the bottled BBQ product and put in the base-line ingredients of a basic BBQ sauce and do up a bunch of caramelized onions to up the sweetness naturally.....0 -

Ditto. Canned tomato puree or sauce instead of ketchup and eliminate the brown sugar/molassas, Use white vinegar and also red pepper and jalapeno, caramelized as well. I think I might be headed to the store soon!!
And leftovers for bbq chicken pizza on a flat out wrap... Oh me head, me head is SPINNING!
Thanks for this great idea, hmuh!!! :drinker:0 -
