Just added a teaspoon to some eggs and veggies and all I can say is, Holy Hell - they are soooo good!

I like the crunchy little things myself. They also do a good job making a gel for my whole berry cranberry sauce--I use stevia to sweeten so the entire bag of frozen cranberries has like 35 calories and tons of nutritional goodness!

I've recently began eating chia seeds. They are pretty neat! I add them to my oatmeal, to yogurt and if I think about it more there are probably lots more ideas for them too. I eat Flax as well but was almost out of it and remember seeing numerous topics about chia seeds here so I picked up a bag at GNC and figured give this a go before I buy more flax (or if I buy more) a couple weekends ago.

They are organic, Nutiva brand. I think the Chia seeds are supposed to have more omega's if I can remember correctly.

I am excited about coming up with more uses for these things bercause they are good - and I have issues getting enough omega-3's.

I am trying to do a "Real food" diet - absolutely no artifical anything, and I think this is a good way to add fiber (which I rarely have issues getting)/and Omega 3's - which I have huge problems getting enough of.

Exciting - now I just need to get a food dehydrator so i can stop buying dehydrated Kale and make my own!

i love chia seeds! i add a couple table spoons of them into a mason jar full of water, shake it up occasionally, and within an hour, i have a "gel" like concoction of chia and water. it reminds me of boba, if you've ever had that. i mix it with other things (usually green tea matcha powder) and it makes a perfect snack.
