Polar FT4

When I exercise and use my Polar FT4 do I need to subtract what I would normally but during that time?
I did 30 Day Shred LVL1 and it said 164 calories burned for 28 minutes on my Polar FT4. Should I take my maintenance 1710/24/60 = 1.1875. Normal burn for 28 minutes 1.1875x28 = 33.25 calories without exercise. 164 from polar - 33.25 = 130.75 to put into MPF as my calories burned?

I have never, never seen this question anywhere before. Not in a magazine or book, and not online. It seems a little obsessive, but it makes complete sense, too.

ive seen it asked quite a few times on here - but i never do it. some say you should, some say it all evens out with other activities you may do and not log, or errors in food calculations.
i just find its one more step to obsessive (for me!) so i dont do it.

I actually do subtract and I don't think it's obsessive at all. I think that being more conservative regarding your calories burned is safer. It depends on how accurate you want to be about your calorie deficit.

as i said, it would feel obsessive for me.
im not too concerned with what the site says my calorie deficit is. i manually set my calories as my BMR and lose just fine eating back all of my exercise calories.
