These words define this area of the forum. A place for all of the above. Look at the other areas of the forum. They are pretty specific.

I think it's pretty smart and generous for the administrators of this website to have created an area like this (not to mention it makes their lives a lot easier).

I used to belong to another forum which originally had no place for discussions not specifically related to the subject of the forum. Consequently, such topics inevitably got labeled "off topic" and were complained about, vilified and eventually deleted.

Then the administrators generously created an "Off Topic" area. Everyone rejoiced. For about five minutes. Then people complained about the posters who frequented the "Off Topic" section without contributing to the "main" forum. And they still complained that the posts there had nothing to do with the subject of the forum.

I met some of my dearest friends there. I hope that everyone here has the kind of experience I got to have and makes the kinds of friends I did. And I hope I meet some more here.
