Tabata training

If you're interested in an intense total body workout, I recommend Tabata training. Tabata training combines circuit training with interval training. It's very intense (its like advanced bootcamp). Certain exercises are combined to help boost your metabolism. It's a great way to build strength and endurance at the same time. You'll perform four minutes exercises and repeat usually twice (some instructors will repeat three timies . . it varies) . You perform as many of the assigned exercises within that time frame. You can use various equipment for Tabata such as resistance bands, stability balls, kettlebells, free weights, even your own body weight.

  • I am actually going to give Tabata a try starting tomorrow. I figure I can do sit-ups, push-ups, squats and probably mountain climbers. All of those do not require any equipment and can be done inside my house. Eventually I will take it to the gym (when the money money is available) and adding sprints and the stationary bike.
