Too many !/?

Having been on several forums before with either very young people or people older than myself by a decade or more, I've gotten used to the occasional string of exclamation points or question marks. I find teenagers use them more often whilst someone my age or older might use it when super excited/enthusiastic about something. I think I had an English teacher that said if there were more than two exclamation points behind a sentence he would mark down. Same rule for any more than one question mark and more than three dots in an ellipse. I had another that if you used certain words she would mark off, but this was the same woman who routinely lost assignments and homework and blamed the students.

That aside it doesn't bother me. I wonder about the person that sticks over 30 exclamation points on, though.
