Best post-workout foods?

Hey guys...I don't usually eat after workouts but I have been reading a lot of posts about how good it is etc. My question is whats best to eat and why/what benefits? Thanks in advance and best wishes xoxo

    This is true but I prefer whole foods. You don't need a shake right after you workout. Sometimes, I usually have a whole meal within 45 minutes of training.

    Protein shake and some carb. I usually eat 3-5 ounces of sweet potato with my dinner (within an 1 hr of my workout)

    if it's Saturday? I go to kfc, most other days go home and have dinner, usually chicken or lean beef / pork.
