Mmmmm ... I love love love love cheese ... but it hates me. It stops up my works for days if I eat it and I bloat up like a big old gassy balloon. (maybe too much info but you get what I mean right?) Why oh why can't it return my affections? Why? Anyway. If it doesn't have an adverse effect on your system and it's within your calories then enjoy. I'm so jealous ... but enjoy.

I have never liked Dairy very much ever....................

I notice now that I am low carbing that I do like a little dairy.

I can tolerate a bit of butter when I am cooking
I love yogurt now, only eat full fat versions (Mountain High and Fage Total)
I can tolerate Parmesan, Hoffmans Ultra Sharp Cheddar and smoky cheddar, and American cheese from the deli.

I like ice cream, only if it is home made...............

I LOVE bleu cheese on a salad. It's very pungent, so you really only need like a tablespoon or so to feel like you are really splurging. I have to stay away from cheeses like cheddar or harvarti because I could probably sit down and eat a half a pound if given the opportunity!

Cheese is a good source of protein, but it usually has a lot of fat, so just be careful on the portion. Actually measure how much you eat and plug it into your food diary to see the calorie AND FAT totals. I did this once and was surprised how much fat I was consuming in only a couple of ounces!

I looooooove cheese. I just switched to either the Babybell light (in the little wax rounds) at 50 calories eac or the laughing cow light swiss (spreadable wedges) at 35 calories each. I also drink a lot of skim milk.

Have your cheese, just watch the fat and calories!

THANX. good to know its not just me.. I eat about an ounce a day ( an 8 oz block lasts a week when I have a little everyday) I do of course put it in my food diary and I very rarely go over in calories, never over in fat the only other fattening thing I eat is eggs for breakfast. I do go over in protein though, which I am kinda thinking is not a bad thing.
