Acceptable Conversation Subjects

EVERYTHING seems to induce conflicts lately (at least on MFP). i.e. What kind of food to/not to eat, spelling, holidays, whether or not one likes a certain exercise, etc. So, I ask you: what subjects are acceptable to discuss?

This conversation topic offends me.

I got a post pulled cos it contained the word fat.

Now the problem here is to me fat is a description, to many its a plain insult. But, I'd also say a certain lack of honesty with people is why they get to a situation where they need to be on here.so maybe it needs to be said a bit more.

To be honest - when I weighed 300lb - saying I looked alright was not what was best for me... Indeed I plainly recall being called a F*t B**t**d was what started me off doing something about it

So I think one person insult is another's constructive comment - mix that with a lot of denial and wanting to be told what you want to hear and there isn't a lot left to discuss.

My short trip into the forums - has been that ... short and I'm off back to counting my protein

Well, maybe we can fix this... Instead of saying the word "Fat" lets find a positive and constructive word that completely describes what we are thinking of... hrm... I have it! "Roasted" so any time you would say "fat" we shall say "Roasted" instead.

Now, for the other word... hrm... How about "Pig" So instead of saying "F*t B**t**d" you would say "Roasted Pig". Oh... wait...

Just sayin..
