Hey :-) don't weigh yourself everyday, it will fluctuate. This site has been great to help me keep on going with eating right and friends have been supportive! You can never have to many friends!0

Actually, well, yes, it is normal. Drink enough water and watch your sodium intake (not fanatically, mind) and things can even out. But the first week is typically this way for many. I'd say just don't weigh in more than once a week. This is typical scale behavior, so it's likely lead to more head scratchin'.0
