Nitrites made me fail my pee test.

Anyone else out there work in an industry where D&A (pee tests) are common practice? Well I just had my yearly one and the test is invalid because of slightly elevated nitrite levels. How does this happen I asked. I was told to "Google' it. What I found was that your body produces them naturally. At the risk of TMI I did have my TOM which I told the tester(body produces the nitrites for healing and clotting). They also enter through processed meats (don't really eat them) and Vegatables, Fruits and Cereals! So as I become healthier by eating less processed and more of the good stuff I managed to make my work think I was covering something up.
I can't win.

The presence of nitrite in a urine specimen
indicates the presence of bacteria in the
bladder and suggests an infection. This is what I found on the internet you might want the doctor to check you out for
    Infection.
