I don't know what yo mean by "good", as taste is subjective. If you mean healthy? Yes, chick peas are great for you.

Never heard of Tribe Hummus in particular but hummus is AWESOME. My favorite is when it comes with garlic, and when you eat it with pita chips, and OMG super yummy. And...healthy! Who knew :D

Good job trying new and healthy things!

hummus is wonderful! i personally prefer the red pepper hummus with veggies or pretzel thins. it's also delicious as a condiment substitute on a sandwich :)

Love Hummus, but as far as brands goes Tribe is my absolute least favorite tasting, Sabra my favorite for flavor (next to home made) and Dr. Hummus my fav for snacking b/c I can eat the TUB for 130 calories.

I agree that Tribe is the least tasty, and Sabra is the best tasting apart from homemade. It's so easy to make if you have a food processor. Chickpeas, garlic, tahini and olive oil. That's the base and then you can practically add anything else you want to it. ie: roasted red pepper, black beans and cilantro, jalapeno's, cumin for a few choices.

Hummus is awesome but I find it to be a bit high in calories for my taste. I like to make lentil hummus because it is much lower calorie because it does not require extra oil. The link below is the recipe I use.

I believe the orange stuff is cantaloupe, and yes its good for you. Making your own hummus is almost as simple as breathing especially if you own a food processor. Lots of recipes on the internet. Don't worry if you don't have tahini ( sesame seed paste) you can make your own or sub with olive oil.

    Enjoy your food

never really like supermarket hummus, we make ours fresh at work everyday
Chickpeas (soaked and cooked from scratch), tahini, water, garlic, salt and pepper. Proper hummus, yummy.

peanut butter is a good substitute for tahini too :) gives that nutty flavour
