Oh my word! NO! I've tried, I LOVE the idea, but I'm a very clumsy, uncoordinated person. Seriously. I wore super cute flip flops to my own wedding, because I CANNOT walk in heels!

Yes, I can honestly wear 6 inch stilettos for 12 hours straight. This has taken YEARS of practice. I have 3 hour long church every sunday for the first twenty years of my life and half of that time I spent wearing heels. My feet are made of steel now.

I wore the cutest little flats for my wedding too. Not quite flip flops but yeah... I can't do heels for longer than a few minutes at a time.
  • Yes! I used to not like wearing them since I'm 5'7.5 & they made me even taller, but now I Love being able to see over everyone! lol My 4yr old daughter can walk in 3inch heels idk how she does it lol. I advice starting with wedges or small inch heels walk with your chest & butt out (lol) that's how I taught my friend to walk in heels(:

Just practice around the house. It's all in the hips, but don't blow one out! Swing that butt, honey!

Oh yeah! I love my heels! my highest is 5" with a stiletto heel. :-) You'd definitely need practice to be able to walk in high heels. i would start off walking in a lower heel and when you've mastered that and can raise yourself higher on your toes while wearing those heels you are ready for a higher heel. Give yourself some time. I used to be the same way. But with a little practice i can walk in them as comfortably as flats :-)

Once I reach my goal weight this should be my reward to myself lol (:

Nope. I've had too many injuries to my right foot, even flats make my feet hurt unless they are just the right fit and even those ones hurt sometimes.

The good news is that I'm not doing any more damage to my feel/lower legs in my "sensible shoes"! And that I don't buy unneccessary shoes just because they're cute.
The bad news is that I don't buy unneccessary shoes just because they're cute.

Not so sure about this.. I've seen lots of women who look awkward and uncomfortable in heels - that's not sexy!

I think it all has to do with your foot type. I have a high arch and heels feel great on my feet I can even run in them but flats unless they have a high arch support in them hurt my feet, ankles and calves and I feel awkard wearing them. I see these super cute little flats in stores but cant wear them!

I try, then whenever I feel like I am doing better my MIL says:
"Wow, you need more practice walking in heels."
    Mm.thanks. Just thanks.

Or it might be that your muscles and tendons are used to the position you use in heels, and swapping to flats is putting pressure on them to work in a different way which could be tricky. Wearing heels regularly has been shown to change the way you walk and the dynamics of your feet and lower legs - even in young women.

can't wear heels or flats. it sucks. I have a rod in my leg and a replaced knee so heels don't work and then my feet are a whole size or more apart so flats don't work. I stick to my justin cowboy boots or flip flops :)

If I warm up first, and I'm lucky. I've done quite a bit of practice but that didn't help me keep up at graduation LOL. I usually stick to flats but I like heels, one day I will be good at them.

I love heels!! I have several (ok a bunch lol) pairs of boots with heels that i wear every where.. and i think my tallest are 5 inches.. I'm only like 5'4" so i like looking taller and my legs are long so it just makes them look better even if they are a lil chunky right now =) and i totally agree with the girl that posted earlier that ogling boots/heels is as good as porn lol someday i will own some that go over my knee but i have yet to find a pair to do that except for thigh highs lol

I can totally walk in heels. And I always find it amusing when I see people who can't. Hey, it's the same type of amusement as when people fall.

Besides, when the zombie apocalypse starts, I wanna be ready to run.

You can always throw the stilettos at the zombies, and hope you get an eye...

I'm 5'8 and never wear heels because I'm already too tall, but I occasionally try them on for fun. I can walk for a little bit but that is about it!

I have a slight heel obsession ... Looove them !!! Sooo .... Yuppp I walk comfortably with ease in the highest of heels ... I think I m more awkward walking in flats ..
  • I can hop on one leg, run and skip in heels, but my walking.. Lacks proper technique ;)
