Ladies- can you walk in heels?

Or do you just stick to flats or something?
I'm trying to learn how to walk in high heels, it's so damn hard, my legs are so stiff so I look so awkward. xD

I wear a 3 1/2 inch heel several times a week. I love them!! But at 5'2, I need all the height I can get. I first started wearing heels when I was about 15 and have continuously wore them over the last 16 years. If you seem stiff and awkward, the heels are probably too high for you. I would start out with a 2" heel and then gradually work your way up. Also, the better quality the shoe, the easier to walk in. I only wear Aerosoles and Sofft heels.

    Practice, practice, practice!!!

I  wearing heels. I feel super sexy and they make me stand out ( I am 5'8" barefoot).
It does take some getting used to, but with time you will be a sexy heel strutting queen!

I wish I could walk in heels. First I'm 5'9 1/2 and my hubby is 5'10" so if I wear them I'm taller. Second I've never really tried that often so I am unsure of myself in them. I feel like a linebacker walking! hahaha

Any suggestions, because I love the look of them. Sexy and classy.

    Yes!

I could always walk in heels pretty well, but after working as a cocktail waitress I got REALLY good at moving fast in high, high heels.

Now, at this point in my life, I wear them everyday to work. They make me feel sexy and confident.

Keep practicing, if you want to wear them. You'll be zooming around in them in no time. I should say that I have no problems with flats - I think people look adorable in flats. They just aren't for me.

Unless I'm at home or working out, I am always wearing heels, at least 4 inches. You definitely get better with practice.

I'm usually in heels... but lately my knees are objecting to living on the third floor and doing stairs in heels....

I know the feeling. I wear heels every day, I walk up four flights of stairs every day, and it never seems to get any easier.

I feel like a horse when I'm in heals, because all you here is clump clump clump. Boots and flats all the way.

I wear heels all the time, but my dad had me practicing daily in them when I was 10. You do need to learn to walk properly in them or you lose all of the sexiness they can give you.

**Public Service Announcement - It is not cute to wear heels when you walk in them like you walk in your flip-flops!

I can walk, skip, and run in 4" heels... it is one of the must things to learn when you are "fun sized" as me... at 5'2" and a half (lol) them things make me reach new heights...

I live in my heels, the taller the better. I wear them all the time even to work and just love them. It does take practice to walk in them especially stiettos but they are worth it. Makes the legs go on forever.

my feet are huge, size 12W, so most heels that are cute do not fit, so I am subjected to flats, booooo

I think heels are sexy, but I have masculine feet and don't like my legs so I don't go there often. I can SORT OF walk in them, but they kill my feet! I wish I could. I secretly wish I were a girly girl and could wear the dresses and heels and have mega hot style, but I suck at it.

I have over 300 pairs...am wearing 6.5 inchers today...but you have to get NICE heels. Cheap heels hurt, and hurt your feet. Invest in a good pair and they shouldn't feel much different than a regular shoe.

    My shoes today:

What is the distance we are talking about here?? LOL
If we are talking about from my desk to the water cooler...then yes!

If you mean from here to the bus station and then the bus station to my house...then umm...no! I always have flats or wedge heels for my commute.

If I go out on the town I always wear my most comfy heels - something that is padded, has a platform, or is a thicker heel so I can walk faster - unless I know I won't have to be on my feet for the whole night!

Even as a toddler, I walked on tippytoes, earning the nickname Lorina the Ballerina. :blushing:

I've always been fine wearing heels. I get foot pain if I wear very flat, unsupportive shoes like flip flops or Chuck Taylors.

I am 5'8" and wear heels. I dont feel odd wearing them, even if I am taller than my date.

And the sexier the heels, the more comments I get from men and women. Usually goes like, WOW those shoes are amazing!! No one has ever said, DAMN you are a tall girl! LOL

heels everyday during the week! i love heels. practice makes perfect. just gotta slow down. however, i have a reputation for running in a pair of 3 inch slingbacks once to catch the elevator in my parking garage and not injury myself or anyone and for being pretty damn graceful too!

I stick to heeled booties (though I can't wait for my calves to shrink enough to where I can wear knee high boots). My weak ankles can't handle being in heels and not having some support.

I LOVE heels!! They make my butt look wayyyy cuter. Lol. They take practice. After having my daughter, I didn't wear them for pretty much 2 years. When I got back into wearing them, everyone was wearing those stilleto pumps, with the angled front. Gonna admit, I had a hard time learning to walk in them. But I've got it down now :-) Start low at first and work your way up. Also, try a shoe with a thicker heel at first. You can find some really cute ones. Don't just start off with a stilleto.

    I ♥ heels.

Can I walk in them... ehhh.. so so. Most of them are just for looking at when my feet are over my head.
