is there a good site that shows exacltly where to take them? I get the waist, but the hips? And the arms? The thighs? I have no clue where to measure.

Also, how the you keep the tape straight and really know the answer, I feel like I can measure 5 times and be off each time.

I'm no expert either, but I think as long as you measure at the same spot each time, then your losses will be accurate. However, I'm interested in others' opinions as well.

I'd have to mark with permanent marker to remember where the same spot was...lol I've always had a hard time with measuring :grumble:

I am not sure either but I measure the following

    neck, about the middle
    left arm, largest point
waist, about an inch or so above belly button
    abs, right around belly button
hips, I use the mirror and measure the widest point
    left thigh, widest point
    bust, again, widest point

I think if you always head for the largest part you can't really go wrong:)

I measure around the smallest part of my abdomen (natural waist) and the largest (around the bellybutton). If you're doing upper arms or thighs, measure around the largest part.
