Does it really matter if you go over your salt and sodium if you stay within your calories and drink lots of water? My sugar comes from fruit, and I try and limit my salt but sheesh its in just about everything!

I'm just wondering if this is hindering my weight loss at all.

I wonder the same thing all the time and it drives me nuts. I always try to drink at least 24 oz. more of water that day if I go over my sodium...depending on how much I went over.

Oh and yeah, I would love to be able to eat canned soup more often. It is low in calories and very convenient but nooooo....too much SODIUM!~ : (

The lactose and fructose are not terrible. Too much of anything is not good, including natural sugars and sodium.

Not just for weight loss, though. Your body is happiest when you do everything in moderation. Can you loose weight with too much sodium and sugar? Of course. Is it the healthiest thing to do? No.
