Semi flat when standing pouch when sitting

Anyone have this issue? When I'm standing I have that little pouch in the tummy or a lower case "b" and while I don't like it, it isn't awful but then when I sit or am driving etc. it turns into a pouch and sticks out. Am I alone here? Does it eventually go away?

I agree! You're far from alone.0 -
Snap...and its so difficult to breath in to hide it when sitting!!! lol0

I think it does go away -- I remember when I lost weight before at some point noticing that when I sat down that blob over my lap no longer appeared. I really can't wait for that day but the pessimistic part of me says that it will be the last thing to go.0

yup0 -
i heard if you do backwards crunches it will fix that problem.0

I think it's more of a loose skin problem...0

Right?! Haha i could suck it in and pass out and it would still be there when im sitting because " sucking it in" doesnt help at all!
I think whomever commented about the loose skin is on to something. Ive noticed that now moreso than before my 3 nine pound + babies its a problem. My hubby is tall and lean and doesnt have a shred of anything like this. Im jealous0 -
I have the same issue. I've come to the conclusion that no ones body looks all that great while sitting down. Even my very in shape, low body fat boyfriend has a "pouch" and rolls when he sits down. I think the way we sit kinda pushes everything down.0

I agree with both comments! Mine looks ok standing up but when I sit down or bend over, gross! I don't think mine is fat anymore, I really believe it is excess skin from my pregnancy. I'm hoping since I lost the weight rapidly, the skin will tighten up over time...0 -
So glad im not alone! I just wish when i sat down in the car or a chair it would contain itself0

Even Marilyn had a roll, don't worry about it.

Nowadays that would be photoshopped out...0 -
I like that picture a lot. Not everyone is perfect
Mine eventually did go away luckily0 -

And that is why women feel they can't ever measure up, cause they compare themselves to a picture that isn't even real. This picture is beautiful!!!0 -
The little belly roll looks sexy on Marilyn.0

Same here... Grrrrrrrrrrr  LOL0

Totally, which is stupid because I don't know ANYONE, who doesn't have a little bit of a roll when sitting, even if it's just skin. It's unrealistic to think that you won't have a roll when sitting, IMHO0 -

There's NO WAY you'd ever see this in a picture now... which makes women feel inferior. Like we'll never measure up.
Nice to see a "real" pic.0 -

I think it's more of a loose skin problem...
Well, my skin is super-elastic (guess I am one of the lucky ones?) and I have "wubwub" (haha! aka: that tummy pooch) so I don't think it is a loose skin problem. With 40 lbs. left to lose it's probably just fat! It was the LAST thing I put fat on but seems to also be the last thing to go. Tummies are jerks! ;p
Also, don't forget, women tend to carry a little extra fat there. I, for one, am not going to stress myself into sickness til the day I die over a little natural feminine curvature. ::Cheers::0 -
We should do a motivational pics thread with sitting not standing pics. You never see those. I agree these days photoshop would work its magic and those of us real women with pouches would feel even worse.0

Unless it's literally paper-thin skin just hanging down, I doubt it's loose skin. It's just some last bits of fat still clinging on for dear life. Not to mention, everyone has a roll when sitting down - unless you have maybe 4% body fat (which isn't going to happen). Keep it up and it will eventually fade like the rest of your body did0
-
Usually belly fat is the last to go.
Don't worry about it, why do you think Spanx is a billion dollar industry? All the celebs wear it!0 -
I've lost 30 pounds and a bunch of it was body fat, but I still have that troubling double roll at the abdomen and just above the belly button. When I push on the area I feel firmness under the squish on top, so I can only conclude that there is still an excessive amount of fat above the muscle layer. But, I can see parts I couldn't see before while standing and that is wonderful. Give yourself time, don't be super critical of yourself, and stop comparing your body to your boyfriend's. He's a guy and that's a whole different story!0

Yup, 100% with you! Flat stomach standing, gross big rolls sitting. I think the only way to get rid of it is to lose the fat and then tone like hell! One day I might actually do it
(Marilyn looks gorgeous however)0 -
Actually, Scarlett Johansson had the same little pooch.
