Protein and meal replacement shakes

I have been drinking the Total Lean Shakes from GNC...however I have noticed they are too sweet for my liking... I normally drink these shakes for breakfast. and have a salad for lunch. I really can't afford Shakeology...does anyone have any recommendations on meal replacement shakes or protein shakes. I have found that when I have a shake for breakfast and a protein shake after my workouts (I work out on my lunch breaks), I have energy and binge less in the evenings. (I am a great eater 7-5pm but once I get home I struggle with portion size.)
Am I going about this all wrong? Should I skip the meal replacement shake and just eat my breakfast? Or should I have a meal replacement instead of a protein shake after my workout?

This is where personal preference should kick in. If you find that it's EASIER to stick to your calorie intake and macro intake goals by replacing a meal with a shake, then knock yourself out.
But I think you owe it to yourself to attempt to eat food instead of replacing food with liquids. Give it a shot and see how you feel and how well you are able to stick to your goal intake. You may find that eating whole foods is far easier in terms of staying satisfied.0 -
I believe that real food trumps fake food for all eating times. I'm sure you can find something quick and easy to have instead of a processed protein shake. Good luck!0

I think I will try eating real food for two weeks and see where it gets me... Thanks for the advice.0

I drink the Body Fortress Whey Protein Shakes from WalMart and they are $14.95 for a 2lb can. I drink the chocolate and this is one that my doctor has approved for me to drink. I had tried one from GNC too and could not afford them.
Good luck on the rest of your journey and I hope you find something that works for you and that is affordable for you.
