What badness can't you live without?

Carbs. Since I'm Type-II diabetic, I should be eating very little of them, but I just can't do that. So I try to eat as much of them as possible in the "complex" format, meaning steel-cut oatmeal, brown rice, quinoa, bulgar, and beans (especially lentils and chickpeas). My brother has gone completely hard-core paleo, and admittedly he does look great, having lost about 60 pounds, and he's got lots more energy than I have (I'm always sick and exhausted). But, I simply can't go to that extreme.0
