I'm 5'8 3/4 and my goal weight is 124-128ish. I have a small frame and I weigh 141 right now. Although, I'm sure I'll be a little over my goal weight when I start toning up this summer. Edit: I'm also a size 6 now and I'd like to be a 4.
  • I am 5'9" 3/4, and currently 187, trying to get to 180-175
    I have a dense muscular build, and I guess a medium-large frame.
Tracking my eating is new to me, and very helpful so far to lose the holiday/stress pounds and get to my goal. Before that, I've always looked fit and only checked how my body felt and looked. Now I want to get back my comfortable 185 and push to see if I can do better and how it will change my looks.

I'm 5'10" and 170lbs. I have a medium to large frame. I look and feel great between 158 - 163. I haven't been less than that in years. I'm going to try for 150 - 155. I'm just starting MFP and want to connect with women who have the same goal. Also looking to connect with women who have lost weight while battling hormone fluctuations.
  • I am 5'10 and currently 153. My goal is to be at 145 - but I'm hoping to be under 150 by Easter! I haven't seen anything under 150 in over 6 years!

I'm 5'8, and while I'm not sure how to confirm it, I'm pretty sure I am indeed big-boned, or on the smaller end of large-framed (wrist circumference is 6.5", even at weighing 250lbs plus I have always had bony wrists and elbows, size 11 feet, long fingers and man-sized hands, and most people assume I weight 20-30lbs less than I do) I have medium-broad shoulders and pretty muscular legs, my calves especially.

My original goal was to get down to 160-150lbs (90-100lbs down from my starting weight) but I really want to focus on building strength and muscle for hiking and climbing, so it might be more like 175-160lbs. My lowest adult weight was 172lbs, but I was very unhealthy and "thinner-fat" (I was never skinny lol) so I know my body will look and feel different at that weight this time around. I will get there first and then reassess.

I am 5' 7.5" and I would say I am also "long boned" like another poster said and have a more athletic build (or at least I used to). Shoe size is 10 and I buy all my jeans/pants with a 34" inseam. I have never worn jackets smaller than a large because they are either too tight across the shoulders or too short in the arms. The "finger around your wrist" test puts me as small framed but I have long fingers. The wrist measurement puts me at medium framed and the elbow breadth at large framed. So anyway my current weight is 177. In college I was down to 138 lbs but I am now 38 and have had 4 children. My goal weight is set at 158 lbs. I may try for a few pounds lighter but I don't think I would shoot for less than 150.

I'm 5' and 202 right now :( I've never been this big. My smallest was 124, I still thought I was fat but now I realize I was tooooo skinny... but i've had a problem with eating and dieting my whole life, and I didn't take the healthy way there. Now my goal is 135/140... I felt really good then. Hoping I can make it back :(

    I'm 5'8.75" (I usually claim 5'9"). My goal is about 150, maybe 145. That'll put me around 20% body fat, I think.

I'm 5'10" and weigh 156. I have approximately 22% body fat. I think I'll probably shoot for around 160-165 with about 20% body fat. We'll see. I'm pretty happy where I am, although I want to keep getting stronger.

I am 5'8" but am not to concerned with what the scale says so long as I get to around 18% body fat. I am a medium frame so this puts me at around 140bs.

I'm 5'8" and have a thin frame. I'm aiming for 130 but will probably end up more like 135 when I get those muscles I'll soon be working towards ;)

I'm 5'9" (medium) and my goal is 150! I have just always wanted to be a buck fifty! but we will see when I get there if 1) I like it and 2) it is easy to maintain or not. I am wearing a size 14 (192) now and have never been smaller then a 10. and I was a 10 at 162lb. Seems like it takes us taller girls longer to drop a size. Anyone else find that? Great post btw!

How things change! I am 152 today and wear a size 4. I Lift heavy and am seeing amazing changes in my body. I eat 1700-2300 a day and am still changing my body composition. I don't really care about goal weight but would love to get to a body fat % of 20 I am now 23%-24% BF. I can't believe how far I have come. Weird seeing my old original post.

I'm 5'8" and between the small & medium frame sizes (depending upon whether I use elbow or wrist measures). I'm aiming for 140 and will reassess whether or not to lose a final 5 when I get there.

I'm 5'9" and my goal is 175. I've been 165-170 before and really looked too skinny. I would prefer to have toned curves and muscles!

I am 5'9.75 and currently at 180. My goal weight is 145. After my 3rd baby I felt great at 145. Can't wait to get there.
  • I work in a primary care clinic and at your height you can weigh up to 162lbs and still be average. I think it's important to remember if you are eating well and exercising that counts for a lot.!

I'm 5'8, just barely. Last time I went to a doctor about my weight, I was 265 and she said I needed to go down to 170. Lots of websites say 140, but I'm long boned (Viking genes! I cannot remember a time in my life when my calves were not HUGE, even even very fit) and build muscles quickly. I wear my curves pretty well at 225, but my goal is 170. I can't imagine being at 140, but I am attached to my curves, so. Still, this thread has been helpful, thank you ladies! When I was about 16 I was 180 and didn't wear my weight as nicely as I did when I was 250! I'd say that the numbers matter less, so I am focusing on muscle mass and the mirror. :-) Seems like that is also the general consensus.

I am 5'8" age, 49 and weigh 205.5, when I met my husband at the age of 27 I weighed 136 and had a stunning figure (although I say it myself). I started properly last Sunday and have lost 3.5lb this week I think.

I think at my age if I went down to that weight I would be so much more wrinkled and gaunt looking ( I am currently wrinkle free), I think if I could get to 180lb I would be ecstatic, if I could get to 160 I would be over the moon. Long way to go.

I am 5'9". My goal weight is 150 right now. I haven't been lower than 158 since high school. At 158, I wore a size 8/10 and looked and felt great. But I'd like to get to 150. I started this journey at 251, and have lost 32 lbs so far. A long way to go, but I am encouraged because I am exercising more than I ever have in my life.

I THINK I"m at a medium frame. nNot really sure, I'm about 140. Honestly not sure why that number but my body naturally went to it after having my baby. I feel and look great and I'm very happy with that number!
  • i'm 5ft10 and medium frame and currently 182lb.i'm aiming for 165 at the moment and want to see how i look but im focusing more on weight training so i might decide i like how i look before i get to that number. Its all down to personal choice and when YOU are happy with the way you look
