should I switch to egg white protein powder?

I have a dairy sensitivity/lactose intolerance. I have been using Jay Robb 100% whey isolate protein powder because I thought that wouldn't be an issue for me digestive wise. I am not sure that it is causing distress, it could be from other things I am eating but I am wondering if I should switch to another form of protein powder such as egg whites(I will not use soy). Does anyone know if egg white protein is just as good as whey isolate?

Hi there, I am not sure if this will answer your question, but I am lactose intolerant and the protein that I found that is lactose free and does not bloat me is from dymatize iso-100, it is whey protein and it only has 106 calories, with 25 grams of protein, I use vanilla flavor and love the taste. It's even good without the fruit. Hope this helps you out! :)

I use Sun Warrior Warrior Blend Vanilla flavor. It's vegan, so plant based proteins. I enjoy the flavor. I mix it in my morning green smoothie.

I think egg white powder is a good alternative if you need to avoid dairy. I buy both Jay Robb and MRM for my daughter, she likes the chocolate in both brands.

Thanks guys. I think after I finish this bag of whey isolate powder I will give the egg white powder a try and see what happens. I have nothing to lose, really.

There are lactose free, or low lactose protein powders. I cannot answer if the egg white powder would fit that bill. But if you search for the low lactose you will find many out there. My wife uses Nectar by Syntrax. They have both fruit and chocolate flavors. She has had good results with it.
