Hey guys just wanted to know after how many pounds lost can u class ur weight loss as actual fat that u are losing, its just that when I told someone about how much I had lost ( 8lbs in 4 weeks) they laughed and said " well u know that that's not fat and just water" it really put me on a downer!

In my opinion, probably 4-5 pounds first week was water, after that, provided nutrtion was in an overall deficit, fat lass. Could be a tiny amount of muscle loss thrown in as well, but I'd say your losing fat.

The initial loss is definitely going to include some water. - http://www.justinowings.com/understanding-bodyweight-and-glycogen-de/

Best way to monitor it is to take regular body measurements and and check your body fat % once a month.

Most of what you lose that first week will be water weight if you havent been used to drinking that much water. But if you drink 8-10 cups of water on a daily basis then those lbs the first week arent water weight
